Hi neighbors! Can anyone recommend a good/honest/local plumber? I've tried JM Mechanical, Crombie, and Maverick St Plumbers, but haven't been able to get anyone to call...

Hello!
Looking for a structural/foundation contractor, licensed electrician and plumber to give free or very reasonable estimates on a fixer upper. Thank you!!
Wendy D. replied:
Hi Liz, see http://www.bretonelectric.com/ (I am the wife of the owner and the officer manager, etc.) We provide free estimates. If you are an Angie's List member, you can read a number of reviews of us on there. If not, we do have testimonials on our website.
Robin G. replied:
I recommend Breton Electric. They were great. They were doing work on our house less than 24 after we signed the papers. We had Rob (Royal Contracting) do some structural work after we hired a structural engineer to specific repairs; he is great too.
Wendy D. replied:
Yes, we use and recommend Rob as well. http://www.royalrob.biz/
Gift for a new apprentice? My little brother just got accepted to the Steamfitters and Plumbers Training program. I...don't really know what that is or anything about...

Knipex 002006S1 3-Piece Cobra Pliers Set (7-Inch, 10-Inch, & 12-Inch) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000X4KNTG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_O5HerMerjQW2 o Tools are good. Don't know what he needs but these are the best pliers out there.

I think Milwaukee makes a jacket that's warmed by one of their M12 batteries so if you are in a northern climate that can take the edge off outdoor work a little.
SaithusX replied:
Something pretty universal would be good. If I was you I would find out if he has a Milwaukie, DeWalt, or whichever brand he uses for power tools and get him two extra batteries, another charger, and as big of a drill bit set you can find for it. That would be a really good gift.

Milwaukee M18 fuel sawzall If he's a good straight lil brother he'll get down on his knees and suck his big brothers cock Besides the blow job youd be the best big brother for life

Tools or hearing protection would have helped me. I spent 300 something in tools to start and 300 something 400 something for my hearing protection because I bought top of the line hearing protection with it being 32DB active hearing protection. The cobra plier set mentioned was good as that was my biggest expense other than hearing protection. If you want to go out of your way you can get him ST\-W berretta hearing protection if you don't care about spending a few hundred and he needs hearing protection.

He's in the union. I think he only needs to supply a pencil, IIRC. Within a year, he'll have a tool box full of tools.
ianxbull replied:
If he's got nothing at all, a tape measure, set of channel locks, a bit box and an impact, a little Imp, a PVC Cutter, and some of those Milwaukee Pens. I'm just a service plumber, but this is the stuff I seem to end up using most. You could get him a ProPress if you wanna get God Tier with it.
FTHum4n replied:
Since people have already said about tools and things I'm going to go with socks. Lots of work socks. Boots have a tendancy to just ruin them.

I’m a new apprentice plumber in the union and if it were me I’d want a aluminum torpedo level a Milwaukee tape measure pencils and markers that set of knipex cobras a 6”,8”,12” crescent wrenches 4 in 1 screw driver a beefy flat head screw driver to beat on and lots and lots of work gloves those are the things apprentices use the most it depends who he works for too he very well could be catching cores or fire watching all day I know some kids and that’s all they do first years get kinda shit on
da_smot- replied:
Home depot (or similar) gift card. Then he can get what he wants/needs. or maybe some nice aluminium ridged pipe wrenches, they are pricey but worth it, 12's/18's or 24's you might be able to find out if he already has some... then again depending on what side of the trade hes on and what hes tasked with he might not need expensive wrenches right off the hop.
Need someone to unclog my kitchen sink tomorrow (Monday). Anyone know of an honest plumber in the Melrose area that has time tomorrow around 9 am or 2 pm??
