My dog, Buster, has been diagnosed with SARDS. My local vet is unwilling to try Dr. Plechner's treatment protocol. Can anyone recommend a veterinarian in the Chicago...
Jessica S. replied:
Write to Jason at the National Veterinary Diagnostic Services. This is the lab that Plechner uses. They have a list of vets who draw blood for the E-I panel and follow Plechner's protocol. Here's the email address: jasonm@national-vet.com

Hi Jerry! I would Google "holistic vets in Chicago area" . I think holistic vets are more open minded. You can find some progressive vets in conventional medicine, but it's not easy and you can run up quite a tab. You could ask Dr. P if he's worked with any vets in the Chicago area, too. He used to have a tab on his website of vets he had worked with before or at least vets that were like minded.
Jerry R. replied:
I want to thank everyone for all the comments and excellent information I have received since joining the group. Buster is getting home cooked meals with no grains and he also gets ocu-glo. We are still in the process of trying to find a vet to treat him following Dr. Plechner's protocol. All of the vets seem to have the same mind set about sard's and it is very difficult to find one to work with you.
Help!!!
Does anyone have a really good vet that is honest? We need one for our 12 year old Roxy. Every vet I take them too wants to run them through tests that don't...
Julie R. replied:
Greg and I take our dog and cats to Dr. Costuma at Ark Animal Hospital. It is a really small office with only 2 exam rooms. He is very honest and never has overly run unnecessary tests. In fact he usually tells you the things not to do to save you money and he is on call 24/7 so you can call and it will either go to him or one of his associates phones after hours which may save you an unnecessary trip to the emergency vet. I don't know if it's the same owner, but Ark Animal Hospital out here in the desert is Phenomenal. I believe the person who posted before you put an Ark website for your closest city. Good luck.

I agree. Dr. Bruce Jones on State Street, San Jacinto. Been going there since 1981. Even after we moved to Menifee we still kept going there.
ISO good, honest, caring veterinarian, in or around Menifee area. Prefer reasonable, but not the priority. Anyone have some references? Where do you take you pets? ...
