He also treats my chicken little 14 yr. old daughter and we couldn't be happier. He pays close attention to his patients, which is great for my daughter. She had a horrible experience with one of the dentists at Redlands Childrens Dental. I didn't think I would ever get her back in the dental office. They are a great group of professional and friendly people. They work with many insurances also. We live in Redlands and they are worth the trip. We take the back road through Mentone. Nice drive..............and it is a smaller office.

Just stay away from the dental mills. Those have several dentists fresh out of school (IE office doesn't say dentist name in the title) and accept the crappy dental/vision insurance that a good dentist won't. There are two I know of in town that are the ones that have a policy of doing many things that a good dentist won't do like checking your child's depth of gums (unnecessary unless your gums are diseased) and deep cleaning that destroys your roots and makes your teeth hurt from hot and or cold forever. If the office has 15 to 30 chairs in the office, run! They are in it for the money. I had to get out of the chair and leave when the would not just clean my teeth. My wife and I were both told we needed $4,000 of dental work each, 6 years later and to this day our dentist says there is nothing wrong with the teeth they said were bad. Dr. Lucero is another good dentist also. Good luck!

I have an implant that was done at Loma Linda Dental School. $1,000 all done. Never felt any pain.

After we retired and with retiring we lost out Dental so about 17 years ago we stated going to Dr Navarro across the border in Algadones near Yuma, AZ. He did my husbands implants and even a bone graft. He made sure we knew he buys his material form a reputable lab in the US. He comes to LL for updates. He now has two sons that are working in his office. I talk to people all the time that have gone to the same dental office for years. Message me if you want more info. We sure have been happy with the work and the price.

Retired Dental Practice Manager here... Implants are not always a covered benefit. It depends on your plans coverage. It's not "NEVER covered" as some would tell you. It's getting more accepted by the larger plans. Ask your insurance company. It's a simple yes or no. Things to know: #1: the date you lost the tooth in question. Some plans will NEVER cover any care if you lost, or had that tooth removed prior to being covered by the plan. This is called a Missing Tooth Clause. #2: Are implants a covered benefit. Simple yes or no here. #3: If implants are NOT covered, will they at least pay for the crown that is placed ON an implant - please note this answer varies and the crowns alone will be $1200 PLUS PLUS PLUS without insurance. Let me know if you have other questions!!! I know it's confusing, and if you don't know what questions to ask it's easy to get misled!

Call your insurance yourself, I had a dentist who wanted to remove a crown and replace it. Telling me I needed a root canal, so a friend referred me a a root canal guy. Suggested I see an oral surgeon I went to Randall Haliday. Who saved me the thousands of dollars she wanted to charge me. Long story short I found out she was an out of network and could charge me whatever she wanted. Changed dentist!

I took a friend to Tijuana about a two years ago after his dentist quoted him over $11,000 for ‘necessary’ dental work. He was in my pain and had no other viable option. There’s a big plaza full of dental offices. I was totally skeptical until we went in. The place was immaculate. Every tool they used was taken out of a medically sealed package. The office staff and dentist were completely accommodating. The dentist spent the vast majority of his time explaining why my friend didn’t need the services his local dentist said he needed. He did need several root canals and crowns. Total he paid less than $1000 and, to this day, says it was the best decision he made. I believe it was called Hawkins Dental.

Dr Pragasm office in Redlands!!! They are amazing and waaayyyy cheaper then smile wide. Smile wide tried to charge me for two root canals and two crowns that I didn't need I went to dr Pragasm office and he filled it right then and there.

We originally went to an office in Redlands, then they moved to Loma Linda and turned into https://www.facebook.com/248888258631908 Smile Wide, now they changed AGAIN to Western Dental. Way too many changes in a short amount of time. I want someone a little more permanent. I talked to them yesterday for an upcoming appointment and it sounded like a room full of sales people. I like the personal touch...not the way it seems to have become. I'm now in search for something a little more personal, and not just a name on a chart.
