Dr. Jones in West Hartford works 100% with pain patients at the HHC pain treatment center. He uses both CBT and mindfulness; you have to be a patient at the pain center to see him though. https://hartfordhospital.org/find-a-doctor/physician-detail?id=0030 a00001 atjllAAAhttps://hartfordhospital.org/locations/family-wellness-centers/west-hartford-wellness-center-at-blue-back-square/pain-treatment-center

Don't be afraid to try a couple different therapists out to make sure they're the right one for you! Good luck!

Therapy is nonsense. The only thing I ever learned from therapy is that they don’t do anything and you can only help yourself, which is easier when you stop dwelling on your problems by talking about them all the time. The talking cure only works for women.

Are you planning on using insurance? If so, you need to find someone that accepts you're insurance and is seeing new patients. Where are you located and what's a reasonable drive for an appointment?

Just wanted to throw out there that I had to bounce between a few therapists until I found the one that works for me. Everyone is different and it may not be the perfect fit, that's ok! Keep trying different ones. Where in CT are you looking?

It took me a long time to find Jay Seigel. I was balancing on a very precarious edge. As well as being a therapist he’s an APRN he brought me from the brink of despair to a normal life, which hadn’t been normal in over 20 years. He has two offices, one in New London and one in Madison. I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone, Adult, child, male or female. He is wonderful.

I am an experienced therapist in Denver with graded motor imagery and mirror box therapy. I was trained by the therapist who wrote the clinical chapter of the graded motor imagery book. I work in a multidisciplinary clinic and have been very successful with treating CRPS. My website is BraveTherapy.net and all my contact information can be found on the site. I'd be honored to help. I was once a chronic pain sufferer myself.
