MADAC offers inexpensive spaying and neutering. I have gone to Community Vet for over 20 years now, and would recommend either Dr Crowley or Dr. Thomas. I had my cat and dog both fixed there when they were between 2 and 3 months old (soon after I adopted them). No one there mentioned waiting until 1 year.

The Cat Doctor in the Third Ward. They are THE BEST. I will never take my cats anywhere else.

Dr Pam Giekken at Small Animal Hospital off of North Ave and Newhall. Sorry, but I've tried a lot of vets and she's the best in town.

Often times antibiotics don't work work for ear infections or are counter-productive. Not at all to dissuade you from seeking medical help but there's a lot you can to to heal your body right now. There's a gut connection involved with ear and sinus infections so cutting all sugar/alcohol is huge. Take probiotics and eat fermented veggies (kimchi) to repopulate good bacteria. Buy yourself some garlic mullein ear oil from Outpost or check to see if Whole Foods carries it. Put a few warm drops in your ear 3X daily. Do a garlic poultice on your neck beneath your infected ear. Rub lavender or thieves oil behind the troubled ear and down along the lymph nodes in your neck. Make a rice sock, heat it, and lay it on your ear. Drink tons of water. Avoid corn and gluten for a few days, too, if you can or really any acidic, inflammatory foods like red meat and dairy. But definitely get into a doctor if you're having fevers or unbearable pain. Dr. Fox isn't taking new patients, alas. Good luck!

Tosa Pediatric is amazing. Dr. Richer changed the way Owen's asthma was being treated and we went from ER visits 2/3 times a year to nothing. I can't recommend them enough.

Tara Kuhl recommended Dr. Melissa Chudnow. She doesn't know where she is currently practicing now. (Looks like she moved practices since October 2014) And would love to find her. Otherwise she is also looking for an allergist.
