Is there a hand car wash service here? Been looking for a while. All I could find is washers at gas stations or coin operated ones. Just need a quick outside wash.

Coming here from the states I was a little baffled that I couldn't find one, until I endured a winter. No way an Auto Bell or other chain wash could survive here. Then I read somewhere (here on Reddit I think) that car owners are classified 2 ways: - those who have a filthy, dirt-covered car and finally gets it washed in late May or so are known as "Calgarians." - Those who wash their car after the first decent spring melt (you know, before the last 2 or 3 snow storms, like in March if you're lucky) are known as "Californians." Being a Californian, I think I can understand this.

In case you want to wash it yourself - sometimes I go to the coin washes late at night - say ten, before they close and do it there. Then I can rinse the car off with the pressure washer. I go to Johnny B's Car & Truck Wash in Harvest Hills.

if you work downtown a few of the towers have car detailing inside, could ask them just for an out side wash while you work? http://www.bankershall.ca/services/car_wash.htmlhttp://www.brookfieldofficeproperties.com/content/tenant_and_building_services/car_wash_services-13510.htmlhttp://www.eighthavenueplace.com/amenities/ tho might not be the cheapest option...

If you don't mind hand-washing yourself, the DIY car wash in Bridgeland is cheap and effective, Can usually give yourself a decent wash for about $4-5 depending on how fast you work. Keep in mind it's cash only. The "nicest" hand-wash, imo, is AutoClean on Midpark Blvd SE. It's indoor, has nice, big bays ... and takes plastic in addition to cash.

I think Petro Can on 4 th Street still does hand wash. As for Bubbles, they do great work, but they are EXPENSIVE, so may not be appropriate for a "quick outside wash".

Will, does your cousin still work at Hank's Auto Detailing?
Will R. replied:
He does, Meg, but that's in Wisconsin. I'm assuming Jennifer is looking for something a bit closer. I echo Katherine's comments about Dan's car wash. Friendly service, convenient location, and there are always coupons available online or in the mail! But if you're willing to drive five hours to Wisconsin, I'll be sure to reach out to cousin Jeff to see if he can cut you a deal:)
