Clowns in Minneapolis, MN

I've gone to the First Avenue costume contest twice: once as Predator, and once as Black Dragon. I didn't win anything with Predator, but I got my picture in the Star Tribune. Black Dragon was one of the finalists and I got up on stage, but I was beaten by some more visually punny costume. (I think it was Toiletron, a Transformer-like toilet.) Don't go to a bar costume contest expecting to win an actual cash prize based on workmanship. If you just want to have some fun on Halloween while in costume, that's fine, but remember that you're dealing with people in a bar. I can tell you some place that's a lot more fun for the Halloween season, but you'd have to take Highway 212 past Chaska and into Dahlgren Township for that.

Greg Symbal ... because.... he is telling a tall tale that... is simply not to be believed. Marc Cameron that block club leader ... says.. "for so long the plight of north minneapolis has been the crime and the shootings and the drugs and stuff like that... and really what we're trying to do at this event is change that stereotype" his goal according to the reporter is to.. change the public's mixed perspective of north minneapolis this is false and leading people into a flase sense of safety.. we have crime, and lots of it, much very violent including Aggravated Robberies Of course... The Governor Mark Dayton, Mayor Betsy Hodges, Council President Barb Johnson, Chief Janee Harteau, Senator Bobby Joe Champion, attended his event to help propagate this lulled into false feeling and sense of security they surely, did not attend our block club meeting where we were discussing one neighbors concern about her truth in housing statement where they must now disclose a person was murdered on their property as they prepare, to move and can no longer recoup their investment they surely, did not attend our block club meeting where we were discussing one neighbors concern about home being broken into 4 times they surely, did not attend our block club meeting where we were discussing one neighbors concern about the immense number of vacant, some boarded up homes within 3 blocks of our event they surely, did not attend our block club meeting where we were discussing one neighbors concern about the fact that when they moved onto fremont their car insurance, trippled in cost based solely on the zip code and their new address... they surely, did not attend our block club meeting where we were discussing one neighbors concern the constant streams of gunfire observed on a day to day basis from many in our group - Gunfire was a common comment they surely, did not attend our block club meeting where we were discussing one neighbors concern about the continually depreciating home values in north minneapolis they surely, did not attend our block club meeting where we were discussing one neighbors concern about having to go to the 4th precinct to fill out an affidavit to give mPD power to take people, lurkers off their property if they, homeowner posts big yelloe no trespassing signs on front and back doors they surely, did not attend our block club meeting where we were discussing our solution to many of our crime problems as highlighted in the image below the conversations of how NOMI scourge has impacted everyone at our meeting could have lasted for weeks - and weeks... and weeks I suggest to Marc Cameron - there may be a day when this stereotype of north minneapolis may just land squarely in his front lawn, and he too will have to forever tell any and everyone a homicide was committed on his property the fact these atrocities happen is a fact - people need to know what happens here so they can make an informed decision before they enter NOMI, whether it be passing thru or investing in property/ home
