The Blue Door opened a Minneapolis location just up the street from us. Bus #9 heads out from downtown and goes right by it. Then continues on to hook up with LRT back to airport or MOA or downtown again.

Connie Lynne, I'd love to get drinks or have lunch! In regards to restaurants, there are a ton of suggestions that I could make depending upon what you are looking for. For Jucy Lucy's go to Matt's Bar or the 5-8 Club. (Both of which are a little far from where you are at.) The Midtown Global Market is a fun place for lunch but also a little far from downtown. For downtown restaurants, I second the mention of Hell's Kitchen-Minneapolis. They are a little spendy but worth every penny. I've also heard great things about The Butcher and The Boar but I haven't had the chance to try them yet myself. I don't eat downtown very often but I could probably come up with some additional suggestions if pressed. Just north of downtown in the Northeast neighborhood there's fun kitchy places like Nye's Polonaise Room, Psycho Suzi's Motor Lounge, and Gasthof Zur Gemutlichkeit with Mario Keller's Bar. I live just south of downtown in Uptown. Where there are also a lot of great places such as Moto-i, Muddy Waters, Barbette, Bryant Lake Bowl & Theater, and many more. It all depends on what you are in the mood for! I'll send you a note with my contact info so that we can set something up!
spending the weekend at the convention center. I hate the choices there. any suggestions?
Tracy C. replied:
We are going to be down there too. THere's a Chipotle just south of the Hyatt. We are bringing our lunches though and just eating dinners out. Also going to try Pizza Luce as I have heard good things.
With Comic Con coming next weekend & my son having weekend passes, I'm looking for restaurant suggestions near the Minneapolis Convention Center. Thanks so much!!
