Reliable Contractors Does anyone have recommendations on quality residential general contractors in Kansas City?

I'd settle for a contractor that actually seemed to be interested in doing a job and doing it well. I've been trying to find someone to do some siding replacement and some windows at the same time and can't even find someone who will come back with an actual estimate.

If you do, figure on $25-30/hour for basic labor, 3-4 times that for skilled labor. Expect delays due to supply constraints. Expect materials prices 2-3 times higher than 12 months ago.

Good Luck, it was pulling teeth trying to find actual line item estimates from contractors Our contractor came pretty close but it still wasn't what we had in mind. I guess it's really hard to do that right now due to the cost of materials. Our project hasn't been delayed yet and all our materials have been in stock. It's a full house renovation. We looked at doing our own sub contracting but it was going to take even longer to get people at our house. I hope you find someone!

i think you may want to sub them yourself. we have a pretty decent guy but his communication is terrible and we just got a "total" not any kind of breakdown for the bid.

100% doesn't exist right now. They are all doing flips. (Buying houses that need remodeled, fixing them up, reselling). Same issue with subs.

I worked with Tom many times when I was in the countertop industry. He was probably my favorite guy with an orderly work ethic. Stumpff Homeworks, LLC (913) 488-3645)
