Anyone know of a good veterinarian in the valley. I was going to Duvall Veterinarian but had one of the ten worst "customer service" experiences from their front desk...
Don S. replied:
Most people who've used Cherry Valley Vet (Safeway parking lot) have good things to say. Like anyplace there have been a few that have had less favorable experiences. Every business, no matter how much the owner tries to make every customer's experience the best they can, will sometimes manage to step on a toe and someone will leave unhappy. Did you talk to the vet at Duvall Vet about your experience? Perhaps he/she didn't know about how the front desk person was interacting with customers.
Angie W. replied:
Plus 10 for Dr Miller. He is amazing, his staff is awesome, and I know my pets are getting the best care possible. Always get a post visit call from him when one of the kids is sick. Big fan!
Julie G. replied:
We love Dr Miller at Loyal Companion Animal Care at Redmond Ridge.
Carolyn W. replied:
We've been using Cascade Animal Clinic for 20+ years. Have tried local vets, to save the drive to Monroe, but always go back to Cascade.

Caryn S. replied:
I use Kindness Animal Clinic in Monroe Dr. Bruce Garver 360-794-8813. The staff is very helpful and even took the time to call me to check on my dog after I had to take him to the emergence clinic in Kirkland!
Tamar H. replied:
Dr. Miller at Loyal Companion is wonderful. http://www.loyalcompanionanimalcare.com/
Kirk W. replied:
Been going to Dr. Sievers for over 20 years with never a complaint or bad experience from any of the staff. Haven't been in for a year now--must be they have a new person at the front desk?
Canela A. replied:
I have been going to Dr. Sievers since 1980...loved him but it just is not the same without him. Last time I went they were so rude. I have started going to Loyal Companions on Novelty Hill. I really like both vets.
Stephanie T. replied:
Since September 2012, we have seen 2 different female vets that have been filling in for Dr. Sievers. Both were nice and seemed competent, but they aren't Dr. Sievers. Change can be difficult when you have been seeing the same doctor for a long time. I hope that Dr. Sievers will be able to return at some point.
Tim A. replied:
Have been going to Dr Sievers for 12 years and had no problems. He took us in when we moved to Duvall and helped us care for our Rottie who had IBS with no extra testing or questions. He saved my Lab's life and has always been affordable and very pleasant to visit with. Who knows what happened in this instance

I highly recommend Alpine View in Monroe. 360-794-6662. I won't use the vets in Duvall. Dr. Murphy came to my house when my dog needed to be put to sleep with bladder cancer. He gave our dog a much more peaceful experience than having to take him in to their office. Love them for it!

Gloria P. replied:
Alpine View, (360) 794-6662, is very nice and more affordable. We just lost our 13 year old lab and they were so kind. So sorry about your loss!
Karyn L. replied:
Losing a pet can be devastating. My little furbaby of 17 years died in January. I had no options for cost choices. After a massive seizure I had to drive to Pilchuck in Snohomish at 1:30 AM. The decision was to put him down. The cost was $270.00. The "private" service where I would retain his ashes was over $300. RIP Fritzy.
Karyn L. replied:
Missy Evanoff Hughes maybe it would help to know my mothers cat is turning 20 this year. And she will be 98. A long life for them both. My first cat lived 18 years. Both were/are indoor cats only and that plays a role also.
Debi P. replied:
Alpine is a wonderful vet clinic staffed with amazing kind and caring people. Dr Murphy sat on the floor with me and had tears in his eyes as he put my 20 yr old dog to sleep.
Amanda M. replied:

Alpine View Veterinary Hospital is GREAT! Wonderful staff that understand financial considerations and your love of your pet! We took our cat in when he had a blocked bladder. They gave wonderful treatment and let us know what our options were. Our cat is fine now.:) The address is Snohomish, but it's really Monroe -- just past Fryeland Blvd on "Main Street" (whatever the it's called after it goes under 522). 16408 161 st Ave. SE Snohomish, WA 98290 (360) 794-6662
Margot R. replied:
We go to Evergreen Holistic Vet on Fryelands Blvd. Doesn't seem to overcharge and gives you options.
Tracy A. replied:
Love Alpine View. Have never had a problem with them refusing care. We put our cat down last spring because she had kidney disease and she was 18 years old. I could just tell it was time. I've had no problems at all with them. They also are members of the program Pet Assure which you pay a minimal monthly fee ($13 for multiple pets) and then you receive a 25% discount on all services. This has been a life saver for me since I have multiple pets. Kindness is also a wonder vet, however they do tend to nickle and dime you. I've also been to Harmony and Evergreen but in the end I get better service from Alpine View. I should also mention that Alpine View referred me to Harmony for acupuncture. We paid a hefty bill before they determined she didn't need acupuncture. But I did like Dr. Frank.
Denise M. replied:
Alpine View!!! Wonderful group of caring doctors and employees...been going there for 20+ years...LOVE THEM!!
Karin R. replied:
My Pets Vet has the best prices. I have taken my cats and Dogs there for the last 15 years or more. THey used to be called vets for less. Good job and LOW prices.

Kraft Mobil vet. He took care of ours. There considered "exotic" he's very reasonable. And you can go to where he's parked or he'll come to you. Don't have the number with me. Google it
Kristina D. replied:
Kindness animal clinic does rabbits. I have been showing and raising rabbits for 11 years and I take mine to them. I'm also an assistant leader to a local 4-h rabbit club. Cascade Animal Clinic only does nail trimmings. Too much grass will make them sick, if they have diarrhea or an upset stomach try some parsley. Rabbits do not do well in the heat at all. A frozen water bottle in the cage is good, however sometimes the fur can stick to it and get ripped off their skin. A fan not directly on them is also good. The water bottle that's on their cage, I have half the water frozen so they have a chunk of ice in their water. If you have any other rabbit questions feel free to message me anytime.

Exotic vet in Bothell. May be hot. Make sure it's not in sun and has veggies and fruit in addition to pellets. You'd be better off not feeding pellets and stick with grass hay, timothy hay and fresh foods. Lots of fresh water too. Check out Rabbit Haven (do a Google search) for tips. Bunnies also do best with a buddy.
Joy K. replied:
We like Evergreen Holistic Vet Clinic on Fryelands Blvd. You'd have to call to see if they see bunnies. Not sure on that.

This might not be as local as you want, but if all others dont work out I recommend the center for birds and exotic pets in Bothell. http://www.theexoticvet.com/ my guinea pig had a respiratory infection when I bought her and they are amazing! Dr music specializes in guinea pigs, hedgehogs, bunnies etc!
My poor dog has horrible allergies/skin/yeast issues. Do you guys have any recommendations for a local vet who's good with this issue and/or tips suggestions to help?
Alice H. replied:
Cascade vets are great for general vet treatments; if you want a more holistic approach, I really like Dr. Frank over at Harmony Wellness on Main and Kelsey. I will reiterate to not put anything on their skin that might be toxic to them. It is likely food sensitivities and/or yeast overgrowth. Consult a vet and go from there. Homeopathic remedies also work great for dogs; when my dog has itching, I give her homeopathic apis 30 c.
Rosie W. replied:
Andrea Meyer at the VCA Specialty Clinic in Lynnwood is beyond fabulous. My golden boy had allergies so bad, he had sores all, over his body, He is a happy boy now thanks to Andrea
Erin A. replied:
Second the recommendation for Dr. Frank at Harmony: http://www.hawcmonroe.com/Pages/default.aspx
Kylene G. replied:
Add a probiotic to their food. Our female boxer had yeast issues with her feet. Super red and moist between her paws and super itchy - she would bite at them all the time. We purchased a probiotic off Amazon (highly recommended by our boarder/trainer) and it worked wonders. Not sure what yeast problems look like for your dog (manifest in different ways) but a probiotic evens out the levels in their body and can work wonders. The brand we got is called Dogzymes Probiotic Max. http://www.amazon.com/Dogzymes-Probiotic-Max-Pets-8-Ounce/dp/B00FQCOEH2
Cristina D. replied:
Our dog had this and the underlying reason was he had an ear infection, I got him Zymox on Amazon. I originally did take him to Dr. Evergreen and although he was great, he gave me some Mushroom pills to give my dog, it was like 20 pills for $30.00. I looked it up online when I got home and you can buy the same stuff, $40.00 for 200 pills. Our dog was also having goopy eyes and the Zymox cleared everything up in about a week
