I just did last month at Tx Litter Control off of Pruitt Rd and they were great. It was ~$130 or spay and microcipping and nail trim. Just looked and it is $89 if they are under 25 lbs. https://www.facebook.com/TexasLitterControl?fref=ts

we are going to petsmart - Banfield Hospital in Oswego. we got yearly plan to cover everything shots, visits, blood work etc. doc. E. Verstrate is chief of staff and she is very smart vet! not fun of stuff or another vets at Benfield. they order sometimes lots of tests or offer extra services but you have to trust your gut! and is your final decision on extra services. Yorkville Animal Hospital is pricy and vet is taking your pet on the back to do services and I rather be present during visits.
Can anyone recommend a good place to kennel a 5 month old puppy? We have used our Vet in the past (Taylor Crossing) but they are booked for the Thanksgiving holiday. TIA

Goodwin Animal Clinic took such amazing care of my dog when he was expected to die from an unspecified "neurological event" that he fully recovered. I can't praise them highly enough for their above and beyond care of my baby during that time. Because I had to work and couldn't be with him all day, they asked to keep him with them, even though he didn't need hospitalization - they fed him by hand because he couldn't use his mouth properly, allowed him to roam around the facility because he needed to strengthen his legs, and kept him up by the receptionist during the day to help him stay calm and to watch over him. He basically had rehabilitation care and they considered it a basic boarding! I have no doubt they saved his life.

My puppy is due for his distemper shot on the 4th. Maxwell base vet will be the cheapest option, but per usual, they are not answering the phone during business hours....
Leigh H. replied:
Animal Hospital of Montgomery. Doctor Gotthelf is the best and most reasonably priced vet around. He does everything he can to keep costs down and does not rip you a new one with your bill. The hubs worked for him in the mid-late 80's and all of our babies have been his patients over the years. His staff, Dr. McCausaland, Brandi, Sam, Kayla and the others are all super sweet. The office is nothing fancy, he is very down to earth and simple, but by far one of the most intelligent and best vets around with a heart of gold. You don't feel like just another medical chart there. They all make you feel welcome and like a friend. He's open M-F until 5:00 and Saturdays until noon. You can drop your baby off in the mornings for treatment or you can get you a same day appointment if needed. His number is 272-2200 in case you are interested.
Leigh H. replied:
You're welcome. Here is a link to his FB page. I think on his regular website they list the charges for things like office visits, shots, etc...If not, just call and ask Sam or Brandi. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Animal-Hospital-of-Montgomery/323608237088?fref=ts
Leigh H. replied:
I would give them a call and ask. Doc G will make sure he has everything and not give him anything unnecessary. He is wonderful at talking you through things and answering any questions. I am the queen of questions and he ALWAYS gives me thorough answers in a way my non-medical, simple brain can understand. They work with the Humane Society and will most likely know exactly what your baby is due to have.

Cavanaugh/ Bradley use to have a Vet in a Van concept but I don't know if they still do. That was years ago. I used them at that time for 2 dogs and 2 cats. Don't have any pets at present but I hear the Animal Clinic on McGhee rd is very good. Its across the street from the old Montgomery Mall.
Dave R. replied:
I think Goodwin is really good. (Just don't ask for Dr Goodwin - but he is at the new location most all the time.) Dr Sirmen, Glasscock or Sternenberg are great. They are close. We hope Leroy will be ok.

Taylor Crossing Animal Hospital and it is Speight. If you go, mention my name and ask him if he remembers Tojo! I really did not like Goodwin when I was there.

I used 2 take my dog Jasper (R.I.P) 2 Orchard Rd Animal Hospital when we moved back out here in '04. Found them 2 be VERY expensive, did not care about the animals & a couple of years ago...dog attracted another dog & died. I am very happy with Critter Care. Dr. Peterson is AWESOME. She has a kennel out in Rte. 71 . Very nice. Not sure on there pricing, but I think it would be compatible with other kennels.
Does anyone know an after hours vet I can call? Or have any advice about why my dog keeps throwing up every few minutes? :( We usually go to Cavanaugh-Bradley but I...
