There are a LOT of local people selling local things here, so your best bet is to ask around for things like nails and hair. (Best to support the community!) You can find a ton of Pilates deals on Groupon or Tuango or other similar sites. And finally, if you need home baked goods delivered to your door or for any special event- that's me! Professional pastry chef and resident cake lady ;) I also specialize in vegan and gluten-free! http://facebook.com/savourysweetsbakery

I highly recommend the Health Tree on St Jean. Locally owned so your money stays in the community
Terina M. replied:
For Pilates you can sign up with the community recreation centre, visit http://www.ville.kirkland.qc.ca/culture-and-recreation/programming-of-activities. I've taken beginner yoga with them and saw that they offer classes for Pilates. If you can't find anything starting in Kirkland you can try Pointe Claire or Beaconsfield. You'll also notice a lady driving a car who teaches Pilates, she has a car wrap advertising her company. She lives in my neighbourhood and I see her all the time. Very friendly.

Hello Welcome to the West Health tree and Tao are great health food stores and places to find vitamins and supplements. Pilates there are so many different places. All you need to google is Pilates west island Montreal and you'll find a few. Most gyms don't have Pilate machines but private studios do. Nail salons it all depends what you are looking for... An Asian place there is Vikky Nails on pierrefonds blvd or higher end like Lyne Giroux. There is also an amazing woman who comes to your house https://www.facebook.com/Manupedicheztoi

For your vitamins I suggest you contact Ken Montizambert. I get all my Unda supplements from him. 514-695-4843. In regards to a sub for Whole Foods, many of our grocery stores offer a wide variety of organic food. For fruits and veggies, meats and eggs I suggest you visit some of our local markets, which offer a variety of seasonal produce, organic and local. Good luck!
Allison S. replied:
There is definitely nothing like Whole Foods, though there are some gems that people mentioned in the comments. The "health food" stores tend to be pricey - especially for produce. You can also subscribe to a vegetable basket that is entirely locally grown, and much of it is organic. Check out http://montreal.lufa.com for more information about that. (By far, the best tomatoes in the city!)
