Morningstar. They've been here for a long time, her staff has been with her for a long time and she approaches it holistically with a combo of homeopathic and traditional medicine. Dr. Hooley has taken care of our pets since the mid 80 s. And we've had lots of pets over the years. She's like the animal whisperer. I've had cats that I couldn't hold, who have cuddled up to her. She's amazing.

Look into a food change as well natural balance is an L.I.D. formula and highly recommend for dogs with diabetes because of the limited ingredients and the way the formula is made it works just as well if not better then prescription food from the vet and is about half the price. This is an all natural food so you will only get the best ingredients NO artificial colors or flavors and no artificial preservatives. I use Montrose Vet and love them

It could be a foxtail embedded in the lower eyelid. Take her to the vet. My sis is a Vet tech in GJ and they have had record #s this year for foxtail removals and they're very dangerous. This happened to our lab a few years back. Water dogs have multiple eyelids and the foxtails get stuck in them often. Montrose Vet clinic is the one who took care of him and they were pretty good. It took two different vets to figure it out, but once they did they had him fixed up and a happy pup.

Anyone have any ideas where to go to get your dog spayed? My vet wants $140 and I'm hoping to find something a little cheaper.

Which vet are you at? I used to go to San Juan, and they are amazing!!! But they tend to be pretty expensive. We use Montrose vet clinic and they are just as amazing but are more reasonably priced:)

I work at the shelter. Our March clinic is full. But we will be having one in May! We usually do sign up a month early (only 8 spots for both cat n dog spays, 8 for dog neuters and 15 for neuters) keep a look out on Montrose Animal Facebook page!

Montrose Animal Shelter has Spay/Neuter clinics. You get notifications of when they are if you like their facebook page. You could call and find out when the next sign up will be maybe.
Chelsey A. replied:
Montrose Vet Clinic is already very reasonably priced, plus they do the MAPA vouchers as well to bring the cost down even lower. You just have to ask for one when you make the appointment
Phyllis R. replied:
You can also contact MAPA (Montrose Animal Protection Agency) https://www.facebook.com/pages/Montrose-Animal-Protection-Agency-MAPA/177135762318253
Phyllis R. replied:
If you qualify financially (it is pretty liberal) you can get a coupon for $50.00 off. You can apply for it at San Juan Vets (or probably any vet). The current spay / neuter clinic is full but there will be another through the Montrose Animal Services. We got cat spay/neuter plus all vaccines at a really reasonable price.

Montrose vet is who I have always used but they were adamant about the idea of payments. I won't be using them anymore I contacted the vet in Olathe with their prices I don't need payments. I got their answering machine and they called me back within the hour. Montrose vet is not accommodating and or caring so this level of attention was so above what I have come to expect. Where I am from (Alaska) the vet came to our home and became a trusted friend. Olathe vet made me feel like I was at the right place. It's only eight miles from Montrose give them a try I think you will be pleasantly surprised Ki
