Paul C. replied:
CrossFit Mt. Juliet is great! All sessions are coached to your level of fitness. The staff and athletes make for supportive community. Pricing is flexible to how often you prefer to attend. I realized in October 2013 that I needed more than just a gym membership to help me to reach my fitness goals. I needed to be coached to be effective and safe, encouraged and pushed, held accountable and have fun while doing all the above. Fast forward more than a year and I'm 42 lbs lighter, stronger and have a crazy group of new friends that I call my CFMJ Family. www.crossfitmtjuliet.com

Trina D. replied:
Serenite Fitness in MJ will change your body and kick your butt. Like having a personal trainer. Go to www.serenitefitness.com. A little more expensive but you will see why. Look at Groupon first and your first class is free! I've never felt such a good workout as these classes. You totally get what you pay for.
Jason D. replied:
Kevin and Misty are right, you get what you put into it. I've been a member a places like PF and when I wasn't paying much, I wasn't that motivated to go if I didn't feel like it. And given that everyone at those type gyms are plugged into their phones and music and there was not much interaction, I never felt any real connection. I've been at CrossFit Mt. Juliet for a year and have lost weight, toned muscles and feel better about myself more than I ever have. Having coaches on hand at every class to ensure you are being safe and getting a good work out takes the guess work out. I show up, have a great time with what has become an incredible group of friends, and get fit in the process. Every workout can be scaled to your level of fitness and there is no intimidation, just 100% support from the coaches and other members. This type of group workout environment is truly the key to success in achieving your goals.
Chris W. replied:
Question: how much are people willing to pay on a monthly or per class basis for child care? I ask because I am the owner of CrossFit Mt Juliet. I would like to provide child care as one of our services and I am trying to figure out the budget to see if it is feasible. Also, if you are interested in seeing the results that people have achieved at CFMJ, please visit CrossFitMtJuliet.com/testimonials . Thanks!

Lisa H. replied:
First thing you need to decide is whether you want/need a personal trainer or coach. You have to compare apples to apples. The large "do it yourself and use our equipment" facilities that have low monthly fees (with or without contracts) have their pla ce. However, coach/trainer led and directed facilities are more expensive but will be more effective and usually also address life style and nutrition modifications at the same time. I, personally, joined the Y twice and never went except to take my pic and get my free t-shirt. An expensive venture with no results. Then a friend invited (nagged endlessly) me to join her at her "box" where she did Crossfit. I was hooked from day one. I lost 67 lbs, went from a size 18 to a 4-6 and got into the best physical shape of my life (started at age 47) and made friends in the Crossfit community. My blood pressure is better and I no longer suffer from insomnia. When my coach moved on and closed his box, I went and got my Level 1 Crossfit certification and opened a training facility with a friend. I now love powerlifting and working out is now a pleasure, not a chore. I would love to speak with you and discuss your goals. Pm me or check out our website www.innate-fitness.com Bottom line, find something that works for you--- because consistency is the key. Lisa

Erin Martin Stevens having been in the fitness industry for many years & my experience as an RN in physical therapy/rehab, I want to talk to you about things to look for in a trainer. Unfortunately, the fitness industry is not regulated. With your recent surgery and specific needs, you need someone that has experience and training in working with back injuries. I'm excited for you to start on that path! I know you must be so ready to get back up to your normal pace!!! We have been praying for you and your family. Keep up the progress!
