Vanderbilt walk in clinic@Childrens Clinic East is open from 1230-730 today.

I don't think the Vandy clinic is open until the evening. However, AFC family care (by Longhorns/Cheddar's) is open now-staffed with MDs. My five year old has been there on a weekend and the staff was great with her.

Mt Juliet Family Care & Walk-in Clinic is open 9-12 on Sundays... I think

I found out a couple of weeks ago... the same way... called to make an appt and she was gone... no letter... no explanation.... I was just trying to look at Centennial Peds at their web siite to see if it had changed yet... it hasn't... but this came up in the search results.... it explains it all http://www.fbi.gov/memphis/press-releases/2013/prominent-nashville-pediatrician-and-former-owner-of-centennial-pediatrics-pleads-guilty-to-health-care-fraud

Channel 4 covered it I know: http://www.wsmv.com/story/24044291/pediatrician-accused-of-fraud So, yeah, it was a forced sell to the new owners, and from what I understand, a lot of the office staff is gone at several locations just because there was a bunch of overhead in that area.

My kids see Dr. Shepard@Children's Clinic East & we love him.

I had the same thing happen to me last week. We loved Dr. Joseph and will miss her so much!!

Dr. Wells! CCE I know MANY people who would also highly recommend her.

Same thing happened to us! We loved Dr Joseph! Where did she go? New Dr didn't even introduce herself to me or my daughter, I had to ask her who she was!

For those who didn't see this comment earlier: Summer Boyd Vertrees Dr. Benitez left to open her own practice closer to her home, and in her contract she couldn't tell patients of where she was going (cause patients belong to the practice not the doc). She was replaced by Dr. Joseph who is awesome but made a decision to leave so that she could practice closer to her home in Hendersonville and be nearer to her 5 children (or some number close to that). Centenial Peds was bought by someone new, and the new owners are working to get things in order, hence the name change I suppose.

Dr. Wells at CCE is AWESOME. Love love love her!! She's patient & practical. Dr. Shepherd is great too.

Children's Clinic East we use Dr. Anderson and the kids and us love him. Completely satisfied with the other doctors we have seen in the group also.

Allison- We just switched from BCBS to Cigna insurance and when I called CCE they said they do accept it. We love CCE!! We normally see Dr Shepherd and Hitch. We've seen others as needed and we've never been disappointed.

Dr Smith in Lebanon she was with Centennial as well but she is an amazing caring provider.

Dr Lett at Childrens Clinic East is AMAZING.. Also Dr Shephard, Dr Wells, and every other Dr we have seen there is amazing. We have 4 kiddos, from 8 to 10 weeks. We LOVE CCE!!!

Allison-oh wow, since u know you & both of your children, I highly recommend children's clinic east as well. We see Dr. Shepard but I would certainly ask whichever dr you speak with as which one of their dr's has the most expertise. Dr. Joseph has saved Bishop's life more than she may ever know. She was great and I will miss her. Just hate how Centennial Peds went about all these changes and never informed the families! Also glad to know CCE is on my side of town. Something good will come of this change!

Dr. Hitch sees our four children at CCE, and is wonderful with our autistic son. Very patient, and a strong advocate on our behalf with the school system. Highly recommend anyone at CCE.

We LOVE Children's Clinic East MJ, we see Dr Shephard he's great! I went there from birth and all three of my kids have been there since birth!

Dr. Shepherd saw Cece and her issues as well as Stella now. He is very nice and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. When you make an appt make sure you get first thing in the morning or right after lunch. They are known to have a long wait time if you go at weird hours.

Oh man, Dr. Joseph was our pediatrician as well. Hate to learn about the changes on FB. Children's Clinic East is getting a call from me too.

We moved from Georgia in June 2013 and Dr. Shepherd was who was recommended to us. Even though we've only seen him once, he was fantastic!! Good Luck!

Dr. Wells at Children's Clinic East is amazing!!! Can't recommend her enough! She is who diagnosed Charlie. The doctors at Vandy were amazed she caught it so quickly. She is extremely thorough and listens to moms. She is a big believer in mommy's gut feeling on stuff. Plus, as others have said, she isn't so quick to write a script if it isn't necessary.

You'll have a tough time picking a doctor at Children's Clinic East, since they're all exceptional. We use Dr. Kirshner. He's fantastic.

Dr. Wells at Children's clinic East is very patient, thorough, but not quick to pull out the script pad. I take all 4 of my children to her one of which is also disabled. Definitely to meet with her, Dr. Shepherd is also very good too.

We also use Dr. Joseph (I am a nurse) and she has always been supportive of my option to spread my daughters vaccinations out and not giving a lot at one time. In addition, nurse Geri at Centennial Peds is awesome!

We see Dr. Shepherd at CCE and he has been supportive of whatever we felt like was best. While we did vaccinate, I did it on a delayed schedule. He has never pressured us to get the flu vaccine.

I loved Dr. Joseph at Centennial but the new doctor or nurse practitioner is very young and doesn't look me in the eye when we are talking, she seems a little shy and just seems VERY inexperienced. Plus, they are lacking professionalism now and the office staff is not very friendly. It seems like Children's Clinic East is getting everyone's vote so I will set up a visit and choose a doctor there. My baby girl is just 2 months old and already having reflux and digestive issues and my son was born weighing just 3 lbs and is 4 now and I am still having issues that I feel haven't been addressed so I'm looking forward to getting quality care and some answers finally!

My wife has her cell and told my wife if we ever need anything for our children, don't hesitate to call her.. And both my daughters love her because she is really good with them..

Dr Shepherd@Children's Clinic East is wonderful. My little boy was born with a rare cataract that required surgery@7 weeks old. He caught it just in time to likely save the eyesight in his left eye! Although, every doctor we've encountered in that office is fantastic!

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Dr. Keri Wells at Children's Clinic East. All 3 of my kids have gone to her since being babies. She is not quick to medicate and is willing to hear you our and trust your opinion or view since it is you child. She's gentle, compassionate, and takes her time with you and your child. We've also seen Dr. Shepherd there but Dr. Wells is by far our favorite!

Children's clinic east. My boys see Dr Kirshner. He's quirky but the boys love him because he's silly with them. I never feel rushed there.

I prefer Dr. Steger@Children's Medical Group on Central. She doesn't rush, listens, and will set a follow up appointment if you are still nervous to make sure that your fears are at ease. I love her to death.

We're also at Children's Clinic East, with Dr. Shepherd. Nothing but good things to say about our experiences there.

If you're not set on staying in Mt Juliet, Dr. Huss (and all the drs) at University Pediatrics in 100 Oaks Mall (Vanderbilt) is AMAZING. I also have preemies (now 6) and I didn't like any of the drs at Children's Clinic East

We love our family doctor. Cynthia Wallace! She is super easy to get an appointment with and SHE will call you back. She is great about calling back after hours, She has an awesome pediatric room. She comes to the hospital to meet your little one after delivery... plus the entire family can see her which is a bigger blessing than you can imagine. 889-7010 promise you will love her!

Another vote for Dr. Mehrotra. We have been going to him for about 12 years. Our oldest was about 2 when we switched to him and was terribly afraid of doctors. It only took a few visits with Dr. Mehrotra before he was a different child. My boys adore him and we really trust him. He is very soft spoken, calming, and thorough. He always greets my kids first when he comes in the room. I can't say enough good things about him.

I take my 4 kiddos to Dr. Wells at Children's clinic east, have been going there since my first was born 7 years ago. Really all of the ped's at that office are excellent. I've had the same experience Beth described, but with Dr. Wells. Any decent pediatrician will make daily rounds at the hospitals their patients are at, including newborns, and always offer after hours service which include speaking directly with a pediatrician. Dr. Wells has a lot of ped experience, including NICU residency and is a parent herself.

Children's Clinic East Mt Juliet is the best. We see Dr Shepherd and love him but if we can't see him for some reason we try to see Dr Wells she's great too. We have been going to this office for 9 years now and really have no complaints all the doctors there are wonderful.

My boys primary is Dr Sheperd and my 1 yr old daughter's is Dr Wells. LOVE them. Dr Wells LISTENS. We like Dr Lett as well. Don't care much for Dr Hitch. They also just opened a Lebanon location,Dr Orr is there full time and Dr Lett is there on Thursdays. We live in Lebanon,so this is convenient for us,my husband took our daughter there for a sick visit and he liked Dr Orr. I won't take my kids anywhere but CCE.

I'm the oddball here lol. With my first 2 kids I had a pediatrician and a horrible experience with Childrens Clinic that almost cost my oldest her life we changed to a new one. Kids would come out sicker every visit to dr. With the 3 rd one found outour family dr saw newborns as well and we went with it. They very seldom got sick and when they did they were always given top priority on appts. Several of the drs from Childrens Clinic saw my son when he was born in the hospital and if I had to choose one of them it would be Dr. Mehrota. He was the only one from several of these listed who didn't tell me what a horrible mistake we were making not using them.

We see Dr Huss at vanderbilt children's hospital 100 oaks. She was highly recommended to us by a Dr I work with, and we are so happy with her. She is very very sweet and smiley, and mt kids love her. My daughter always runs to give her a hug and sit in her lap, and my boys are just all smiles.

I remember going to Dr. Slonecker and every time I went, it seemed like I got a shot. So one day, I let my mom get out of the car and locked the doors. Then I held the door from the inside so I wouldn't have to go in.
