Ruth Atkinson is a wonderful osteopath in muriwai who doesn't charge the earth and is so lovely. We go to Silver Fern Drs in Waimauku. Malcolm is excellent with both adults and kids. I didn't have a good experience with the other Doctor there but Malcolm restored my faith:)

Cathy Mcdonald does mine ( waimauku drs) I get her to check my whole body every 6 months... and any suspicious mole or freckle gets a good check out with her special magnification tool:) I'm only 29 but I really appreciate her being so thorough

I've had 2 pre-skin cancers and would suggest seeing a dermatologist - I see Dr. Isaac Cranshaw at the Skin Institute in Takapuna - more expensive but covered by health insurance if you have it. Mole Map isn't performed by a skin doctor (or any doctor for that matter) - photos are taken of moles the nurse/photographer deems to be suspicious and then that photo sent for analysis. My dad has had a number of Melanoma already and as a family we think your safest bet is a skin specialist.

I left Silver Fern a few months ago and now go to Kaipara Medical Centre in Helensville. Have a lovely new doctor called Ivan Gannoway. They are run as a trust and only charge $17.50 for a consult. I was there 45 minutes the first time!
