Manukau medical center. Dr Khar is awesome with kids
Rebecca S. replied:
We go to clendon medical centre too and we see Dr Kenner. I just love how if you can't get an appointment with your regular doctor there are quite a few others and you can usually always get in to see someone. And when it has been an appointment for my daughter they have squeezed an extra appointment in for us between others to make sure she gets seen.

Clendon Medical Centre, Palmers Road 267 4525 is who I am with too (like Dornae Ray) They are the one that is next to Labtests (so if you go in the driveway on Palmers Road side they are on the left hand side. They are amazing there very friendly very helpful and very througher from all staff the receptionists, nurses, doctors. I am with Dr West but hardly use him I much prefure Dr De Silva (her mum worked there then left and then she came) she specializes in Peads, Dr Didsbury is a well trusted well respected Dr in the Dr field and sometimes will see his name mentioned in news articles as he speaks up a lot about poverty etc. For the nurses Estelle is amazing and so gentle with procedures/vaccinations etc and explains everything she is doing.
Deja A. replied:
i highly recommended Dr Colin & Clarice Bennett at the Manurewa Family Drs on Halver Rd they are awesome kids are free 17 if registered for adults

Clendon Medical Centre (this is the one I reccomend, is next to Labtests and joins onto Clendon Physio also has a dentist inside too) 15 Palmers Road 267 4525http://www.healthpoint.co.nz/doctors/gp/clendon-medical-centre-1/ Clendon Family Doctors (is the other one that gets confused between the two) 9 - 11 Robert Ross Place, Clendon Park 2672636http://www.healthpoint.co.nz/doctors/gp/clendon-family-health-centre/
Joyce M. replied:
Ariella Lee-Maynard by any chance when you went in was it Dr West you waited and waited for? If so he always has a long wait because hes a doctor that will take longer then the 15 minutes so that he can answer every question before sending you out the door rather then rushing you out. He is a really good doctor but does always create a wait which is why I am wondering if it is him you went to see? He is my GP but I use Dr De Silva (the lady doctor) because shes also amazing but hardly ever has a wait.
Joyce M. replied:
Yeah I would say 90% chance its him Ive had a half hour wait with him before. Trick with him is you book first thing in the morning because there will be no wait that has been created. Big ups to him for being througher though but some people can't wait that long. If you go back try giving Dr De Silva a go especially with your kids as she specialises in peads and children or give Dr Didsbury a go. Dr West if in the morning and im not to sure about Dr Ruddell or Dr Kenner as I don't use them other then once with Dr Ruddell because he automatically became my gp when mine left but I changed it as soon as I knew. (I spoke with reception when trying to decide who I wanted as my new GP and they gave me the heads up about each one pros and cons and they mentioned about Dr West's waits)
Ariella L. replied:
Oh no I really do not like Dr Khar lol I was with Dr Wong for almost 20 years and then when he moved to Australia we went to see her she was not cool lol I might go back and see if Dr Chin or Dr Ng are still there and taking patients.. DOrnae is that the one at the back of clendon or the one inside the shopping centre?
Rachel H. replied:
Dr Ng has gone. I also was with Dr Wong & was so sad when he left. I find Dr Khar very careful with looking after my kids. Afterhours will say one has a virus & Dr Khar has always picked up on whats actually wrong

STEER CLEAR of "All Care Medical" at Northcote Shopping Centre (NO CARE would be more appropriate name for them) - while they may charge $18 a visit once enrolled, their initial consultation fee is, wait for it.... $90!!! Subsequent visits for the first 3 months $70/visit and they're staffed by a bunch of ignorant muppets who DON'T listen!!
