I just went to Alavita for my birthday. It was delicious! It's Italian food, pretty new and small so the tables and stuff are kind of close/small. It was reasonably priced, you can look at their menu and stuff on their website. http://alavitaboise.com/

Does Boise have a Benihana restaurant which cooks your food in front of you on a teppan grill? The food is fanastic and you are entertained by the chef as he cooks. You can get sushi there too but you don't really have to order any. They have a full bar but if I wanted something other than a diet coke, I would order a flavored sake or plum wine (both are very Japanese in origin. A Japanese beer like Sapporo will satisfy a beer drinker. Cost: $$$. Another choice if available in Boise, try "The Melting Pot ." This restaurant theme is Swiss fondue cooking. You cook your own food at your table. We chose a 3 course meal which consisted of a cheese fondue appetizer course, a meat and vegetable course pot, and a final dessert course pot. Lots of ambience esp. good for romantic dining. Has a phenomenal wine list. Cost: $$$. Sorry don't know the local restaurants. Good luck and Happy Anniversary.
Are there any restaurants in Nampa good for couples on a date (the first without kids in a long long time)? If not, what are your recommendations in Boise or Caldwell?
