I found mcquillam a waste of time. (Sorry to those who he was good for) Janet wynard - district health nurse and experienced eczema specialist, has passion and great at skin stuff and advice. And free under public health system :) as for GPs we are under Marcia as mentioned by someone else and she is the top in her field for dermatology. her number is 06 8438395

I think Dr Marcia Sonneveld does both normal GP and dermatologist stuff she'll be in the white/yellow pages

Def Marcia Sonneveld. She is a great Dermatologist! really knows her stuff... her practice is opposite the Marewa shops. The house with the little "Marewa Surgery" sign out front...

Dr Sandra verhoven runs a regular clinic at the Scott centre (southland rd, Hastings)...she is based at the tauranga skin centre and travels down (2 days per month i believe). A number of my extended family see her, highly recommend.

I think Dr McQuillam (? Spelling) is only dermatologist in HB!!

There is no one in Hawkes Bay, we used Diana Purvis in Auckland she is an amazing paediatric dermatologist, my son has chronic plague psoriasis and she was amazing to us during a very long journey. You can see her via the hospital system (long waiting list) or privately if you have medical insurance which would be faster.

Ian McQuillan, 46 Kennedy Road, Napier. Very quiet man but his creams were the only things that fixed my babies excema. i was one happy mummy! he also does other conditions too:)

If it's for eczema get a referral to one of the eczema nurses first. Janet Wynyard at HB hospital and I believe there's a nurse at The Doctors in Napier. Found Janet much more helpful than the dermatologist. If you do see the dermatologist privately, and they give you a prescription, ask your GP to prescribe it otherwise you have to pay full price it.

Eric Bakker a naturopath in havelock, he will find the cause not just put cream on and hope it goes away. Highly recommend him

I have heard Marcia Sonnevelt in Kennedy rd is good .I think she is a Gp but specializes in skin .Worth a call?
