You say in-home daycares scare you? How many have you visited? If you find someone that you feel comfortable with, it's like leaving your child with family. And at 5 yrs old, your child can tell you if they feel safe there & taken care of. With only needing 3 days, in-home could be the best option for flexibility. Mount Juliet Montessori is great! I don't think there are any MDOs from 8-5. MDOs are mostly 9-2 ish. Grace UMC has a preschool I've heard a lot of good things about and I think they have extended care.

Are you interviewing anyone from comfort keepers? Also, I have worked as an elderly companion and housekeeper. Depending on your needs, that may be an option for you. A lot of companies offer companion care. I worked through and agency for almost 20 years called Family Care Connection. I think they have changed their name to The Penterman Company.
