I have AT&T Uverse - John Ferguson - last year was $16 a month and this year I am paying $14.95 - love it!!!

I see these posts often but I can't grasp what is expected or gained. There aren't many choices. It boils down to Comcast, AT&T and 3G/4G mobile providers. Comcast offers what I consider the best product, AT&T provides an alternative with similar speeds and prices, mobile solutions are not something I would recommend. Both Comcast and AT&T have monikers, Xfinity and Uverse respectively. They will both have spells of bad service, customer service and billing. They both start customers on introductory promotions that expire after 6 months 12 months or 24 months. Anything that seems like a good deal is temporary. Let me know if you have any more specific questions.
Daniel M. replied:
Amy Feller Partch good info, however the 300GB call I mentioned is for all Comcast plans except business service. Luckily that's high enough it won't affect most people.
Looking for an internet service provider that is not Comcast or U-verse. I'm breaking up with cable and just doing streaming, so I just need high sipped internet. Any...
Kathy C. replied:
NO, its a stand alone company from California. They do both cell service and mobile/home internet. We bought their Hub Burst on a Groupon and its pretty much plug and play. If you move you take it with you. No contract, its month to month. Check their site and see if your area is covered. Customer Service is hard to contact via phone but once you do they resolve issues quickly. You can also email them but it does take a while to get a response. They offer the first month free so its worth a try if you can get a discounted Hub Burst. So far so good with them.
I cut charters cord, can anyone suggest a good isp?
Erica G. replied:
Sling TV
Matt S. replied:
Keep Charter for internet. Nothing is going to be as fast. Directv Now, Hulu, YouTube, PlayStation Vue, and Sling all provide live tv options. Follow https://www.facebook.com/232043966989270Cord Cutters News on Facebook. They provide great insight.
The Comcast bill for internet service is $60/month for a senior citizen living in Radnor Towers. Anyone know of a cheaper alternative?
Paul K. replied:
Hughes net is a company I met in Las Vegas, they do satellite internet less than Comcast's base. Might be able to get a lower price if you talk to them as they're a pretty dynamic company: http://www.hughesnet.com/plans-and-pricing/internet-service
Catherine M. replied:
WHY are they paying so much for just internet. Unless you are running a bussiness you don't need the higher speed internet that they offer. I have Economy Plus Internet from Comcast for $14.99 a month. Yes it might run a little slow at times for it fits my needs. They might want to check it out with Comcast.
Hey Guys! I need your HELP! I'm gonna have to break down and get internet service and I'm trying to avoid Comcast! Lol I've been calling around...AT&T doesn't provide it...
Ryan L. replied:
Before I got AT&T, I used a service called CLEAR. Clear.com I believe is the website. It's $50 a month I think, so not too bad. And I still have the hardware and I'd be more than happy to give it to you if you decide to go that direction.
I know its been asked many time - but please once more. Who to you use for internet service?
Lindsey D. replied:
Comcast.I am ver displeased with their customer service, their business practices and their approach to upgrading customes toward CABLE TV... I can tell you countless negative storeis. The actual bandwidth and realibility of internect connectivity is alright.Overall : I wish there was anothe option, I'd drop them in a heartbeat. For everyone already in Nashville- what would you recommend for internet service providers? What about television?
Alina S. replied:
depends -- do you need high speed internet? Then probably Comcast, I dont think the others have any fiber optics stuff there so its the fastest... they have a deal now: http://shop.comcast.com/XFINITY/internet/?CMP=KNC-IQ_ID_34238775-VQ2-g-VQ3--VQ6-10423283026&iq_id=34238775

Scott C. replied:
ATT Uverse. We've had it for over 3 years and it works flawlessly. For uploads, downloads and data streaming.
Ahmedina B. replied:
Acn. Uses AT&T service but is cheaper.
Scott C. replied:
Seriously? Comcast was the absolute worst. Hands down service and customer service. ATT Uverse has been amazing and I use it to FTP upload thousands of heavy data media files a week without issue. All while streaming our TV services. It's been flawless service and for only $50 a month. Make sure it's Fiber service and not dial up.
I'm looking to drop my xfinity cable and just go with internet service. I live just off porter near Stratford High. Anyone have any suggestions on internet providers?...
Claudia S. replied:
We switched from Comcast about a year and a half ago. We will never go back. We have AT&T Internet service and no complaints. My husband works from home and needs fast Internet service. We have been very pleased. We canceled our cable service and bought an antenna on Amazon. We also have Netflix and HBO Go. No problems with any of this.

You can also try att but we are also s. MJ Comcast is our ONLY option at our house the people from att said they have an alternative to uverse since uverse isn't in our area but they said honestly the alternative is worse than Comcast. They were hoping uverse will be an option at the end of the first quarter this year.
