Our 6 yr old daughter sees our dentist. Dr. Waldman. She loves going there and they do a great job with her. Some of the bigger office have been known to say your child has cavities or issues that they don't have to make money. They have a quota each month to make a certain amount of money. A regular dentist will do a great job and you won't get swindled.
I need a recommendation for a good pediatric dentist in the area. That accepts cigna. Thanks!
Molly G. replied:

Dr D at dental associates! My son is turning 3 and seriously is excited every time he gets to go to the dentist. Never had any problem with what they charged.. Actually switched to them after being over charged by another pediatric dentist in the area

Molly G. replied:
I found Dental Associates to be very comparable to others, cost wise. Plus, all 4 of my children are excited to return for their check ups. Given the fact that my children willingly go to the dentist, speaks volumes!!!

Hi. I hope this is the right place to post. My husband and I are seriously considering a move to New Milford. I grew up in Kent, and my parents and sister still live...

Meadowbrook is a great neighborhood for families. I think the Children's Movement Center in town may offer kids OT in addition to the fun activities there. Our pediatrician is great (Dr Garcia and Dr. Magner) at Center for Pediatric Medicine on Rt 6 in Bethel and they have an office in New Fairfield. They have late and weekend hours. Kindergarten is full day.
Michele C. replied:
Dr. Evan Hack and his group at Candlewood Pediatrics are the best.
Ashley S. replied:
All the pediatricians at Candlewood Pediatrics are amazing! Love them all there! My daughter specifically sees Dr Beck and we love her!
Lindsey K. replied:
Straights Rock neighborhood in Gaylordsville is a nice place, always friendly people, it's a quiet almost country area, right in between beautiful mountains. Unfortunately it is a bit of a haul from the schools that will remain open. 15 mins to Big Y, 25 or so to schools.
Dawn F. replied:

Any of the elementary school are good.. and Candlewood pediatrics is wonderful. As for special Ed. Northville has a great teacher.
Chelsea R. replied:
For a pediatrician I recommend Candlewood Vally pediatrics. I actually had the same pediatrician myself (dr. Abel) my son sees now. Lol.
Janese G. replied:
Elementary school, my choice would be Northville, so check out that area of town and for pediatrics, Candlewood Valley Pediatrics hands down. Orthodontist- Emily O'Keiff. Dentist- Mullens
Julie L. replied:
You may wish to attend tonight's Board of Ed meeting (7:30 pm at Sarah Noble School library). The school system is planning a huge transition: closing 1 elementary school and redistricting grades pre-k - 8.
