Can someone recommend a great preschool in town for my three year old daughter that might still have enrollment open for the fall? I just found out the school I had her...

Holy Infant! The best, traditional, pre-school around. Loving and nurturing! The teachers at the elementary schools have said that they always know which kids went to Holy Infant because they are always so well prepared for K, as well as being kind and well-mannered.

Holy Infant 860-354-7284. They definitely have openings. Ask for Marge Cooper. All the teachers in public school say they can tell when a child has come from there. The children are polite and kind and well prepared for school. You'll love it. School is Tuesday and Thursday 9:15 until 12:15.

I can't say enough about A Time for Children. Excellent, well-trained staff who make you feel like family. Always exceptionally clean. They teach the kids to use manners, be respectful, and still be kids. My daughter has a late birthday and was beyond prepared for kindergarten. My son is there now and thriving as well. Best experience for my kids, without a doubt!

https://www.facebook.com/132508160113087Christian Life Academy of Brookfield, CT has a 3 yr old program, Tue/Thu or all 5 days if you need it. Small class size, lots of play, lots of time outside or in the gym if rainy/cold. It's just 1 mile North of Costco.
My husband and I own The Children's Movement Center on 17 Pickett District Road http://www.cmcplay.com/ and we welcome the opportunity to give you a tour of our Preschool. Please let me know if this might be an option.

I honestly can't say enough good things about Holy Infant. They are kind and generous and absolutely prepare children for kindergarten. The children have a ton of playtime but they also become aware of what the expectations are once they get to school. Looooove HI!!!

Children's Movement Center is awesome. The kids can run around and do zip line. They have party rooms for you to have food and cake. We went to a party there over the summer and were surprised how nice it is. It is for all age groups - probably not teens but little ones through 12 I think would work
Looking for preschool reccomendations. My son will be 3 in beginning of September looking to start him in a program.
Kathie S. replied:
Holy Infant Preschool or The Children's Center. My daughter went to Holy Infant and loved it. A good friend's son went to the Children's Center. Both are wonderful.
Lisa L. replied:
If you are interested in Waldorf education (non-academic for early childhood, play based, lots of outdoor time and art, life skills like cooking and gardening and laundry), then there's a wonderful program just 20 minutes away from downtown New Milford in Southbury. It's called the Garden Gate, and they don't have a website, so feel free to contact me for more info. They will be running a lovely summer program, as well.

The Children's Center on Aspetuck Ave. It is right off the town green and I highly recommend it. The program is very well structured, the teachers are organized and make your child feel like they are at home with family while playing, learning and so cializing. They are deeply involved with the community too, going to the library, movement classes at Fine Line (included, funded through a grant), the senior center, local farms. They provide lunch through a chef that prepares everything from scratch! And their tuition is based on a sliding scale. The town's public school pre school program for 3 and 4 yr olds, Excel, is also incredible! But it is lottery based, and the drawing for the year is done in the spring. Unless your child has special educational needs, then you can apply any time and just need to qualify.

Please look in to The Children's Center of New Milford. The approach that they take with children allow each of them to learn and explore in a way that best suits their individual needs and interests. Being a public school teacher, I can not say enough for how they foster individuality along with building a community!

Over the past year we have had a few children who weren't fully there yet, and have worked with them and the parents. I would suggest calling and or coming in for a tour!
