I use Volusia Medical Center, which is owned by Dr Luong and Dr Yee. I left for a while because of their office staff, but have returned to a great group. There is a young Dr there, Dr Treece. We clicked from the start, very nice young man. They are on the north causeway at the bank bldg. Not sure about your insurance, but things have really improved there.

You must check out Dr. Jeffrey Newfield in Daytona. He is old school doesn't overbook appointments. Great bedside manner and will speak to you for an hour if need be. My husband goes, other family members went and when I called during the weekend when I broke my wrist he called me right back on his cell phone and made an appointment for surgery right away! I cannot say enough .

We love Dr. Harrison at Halifax Veterinary Center. She has been amazing. She has taken care of 9 of our dogs and been great with them all.

An elderly woman took my cat, she brought him to Dr.Castro. She said that my male neutered cat was a female about 2-3 years old, he’s almost 15. Personally, I wouldn’t bring any animal to her. We use Healing Paws in Ormond, Dr. Freiberg, it’s a drive but well worth it.

I like Volusia pediatrics. My son sees Delgado and Chiapco. ❤️ them!! He has been going there since he was 2 and he’s now 17 on 11/8. My son has had many health issues but they’ve been great referring him out and working with specialists. Also, I’ve NEVER had to wait more than a few hours for same day sick visits for the past 15 years. That’s impressive!

I took my daughter to Dr Christina Garcia years ago when she was on Indian River. My daughter was having GI issues and the Doctor said " yeah, and what do you want me to do about it?" We never went back.

Just wondering what is it about Dr. Garcia that people don’t like? I’m genuinely asking bc I have had great experiences to far. We started at Volusia medical and had absolutely horrible experiences with our entire family. Switched to Volusia Pediatrics and never looked back...

We see Dr. Chiapco. We won't see Garcia after after a comment she made when I took my second child to see her for his first visit. She acted surprised when I told here they have the same father. (We have been together 8 years and the boys look like his mini.) She seemed even more surprised we were still together. Never gave her any indication there was any trouble or we had seperated. It was very unprofessional the way she talked to me.

My son is 18 now but I did take him to Volusia pediatrics one time when he was younger and that was that, he seen Dr Garcia . I have never encountered such a rude, opinionated, judgmental and very rude doctor for children . We went to Dr Carithers and never looked back ! .

I'm shocked reading these comments. I thought it was just me. Dr. Garcia had me in tears when I was there as a new mother 11 years ago. She talked down to me like I was so incompetent. This was at my very first appointment when my daughter was only two days old. I was 24 but looked much younger. I always felt she was judging me. I changed doctors and I'm very happy now with Dr. Doolin!

Agree. Dr. Chiapco is the best there. He doesn't show too much emotion but he's very thorough and proactive. I agree about Garcia...no one I know that's been there liked her. Only thing I hate about Volusia pediatrics is they will cancel your appointment unless you call them back to confirm the day before. They need a better system like texting to confirm appts...especially for people with little babies. No one's got time to talk on the phone or answer it with a newborn! Lol.

If he needs home health to help him getting settled, start him off on the right foot, and sort out some of his health issues/meds, PT, OT ect kindred at home is wonderful and Medicare has no copay and I hear from my patients Dr. Herdal is good or anyone at the health park in NSB is wonderful

Call Little Drugs in NSB n ask them for a recommendations. Yes Dr Yee, Dr. Herdell Dr. Gary Morales who is my Dr. Can't go wrong with any of these Doctors.

It depends on the Medicare supplement he has because doctors accept only certain plans. For example if he has Humana, some practices will accept the HMO while others will only accept the PPO. So check this out first and then contact the doctor's office to see if they accept the plan he has. We have Island Doctors in New Smyrna Beach and they are very good.

I like the doctors at Coastal Family Practice in Edgewater. Dr. Freddette is good check with them.

stay far away from Dr Watry..... he is a pill pusher, he has mother over/double medicated & when questioned about over medication - had them lined up for him to see, "my that's a whole lot of med's" I stated you ought to know - you prescribed them. He told me " reality is, people die", so he gives them meds

I have been going to Dr Fredette for 9 years. She is part of coastal family practice on route 1. Like her a lot

Yeah they aren't exactly the easiest to come by. Not any in a close vicinity. We drive to Ormond for Dr. Rodriguez and he's great but to find an extremely knowledgeable doctor on every single subject is rare.

We took Nya to Dr. Casey and Ahni went to Dr. Luong at Volusia Medical Center. Dr Casey seemed way more natural and we will be switching Ahni over to her eventually. We only go for emergencies as well but want someone who is less likely to just go ANTIBIOTICS PLEASE! lol Dr. Casey also co slept with all her kids. We really like her.

Yeah Dr. Casey in NSB at Volusia Ped. She's the closest you'll get around here. If you're willing to drive Dr. Rodriguez in Maitland at Sunshine Pediatrics.

She's good. She is Alana and Taj's Doctor...Alana is even friends with her daughters and has stayed over her house a couple of times she is super nice! She's also the on call Dr for Volusia pediatrics..so she must be the best there

I took my 4 children to Dr. Neena Chopra on Dunlawton Ave. in Port Orange. I liked her and so did the kids. Alexandra Hemme, ask them what they thought of her.

I don't know what kind of treatment you are against, but my stepmom takes my two really young siblings to Dr. Lopez in port orange. He believes in a lot of natural European medication!

Chiapco with Volusia Pediatrics. Awful bedside manner - didn't even look me in the face or greet me when he met me, just glanced at his clip board and ignored me. He is so weird, because he is serious about breastfeeding newborns but insists there's no point after a year because it loses its nutrition. What he told me was so full of stupid I couldn't even give him a good response, I was too busy being flabbergasted over such misinformation being given by a doctor with a masters degree. All I could do was remind him the World Health Organization states breastfeeding for 2+ years for optimal health of mom and baby. And now continue to look for a more updated doctor that cares to expand his knowledge as more and more information becomes available.

Dr Herdel. Super patient, but that makes it hard to get an appointment with him. He does have a nurse practitioner that you can get appointments with easy.

Dr Tina Fischer Carne. I get in a she is very good at listening to you. Office staff always responds as quick as possible when I need scripts or advise.

Dr Mark Kucker, n causeway. He's no spring chicken himself mind you, but he's not that busy and will engage with patients.

Dr Casey Lafferty is great, but you have to be a member of Florida Health Care Plan.

Dr Yvonne Duffe, she is a MDVIP DOC so you pay on front end . It can cost less than you think with older folks and she is on call 24 /7 we have never had to wait.

I'm not too sure if he does, but I will always recommend Dr. Monette. He has two locations. One on French age in Sanford. And the other on 46 just past BJ,s. He's a great guy

I'd say Dr. Monette is young, but your hubby may feel more comfortable with Dr. Quinn, who is part of the same practice. I did read on another thread that they weren't currently accepting new patients, but I don't know that for a fact.
