Dr. John Terwilleger Peds in orange city!! He's great!! Truly, go to the children's hospital south in Orlando! My baby had to go there in the NICU and they were awesome! Go through the ER!! My daughter also went there with broken arm from a bounce house accident and I was extremely impressed!!

My kids go to Volusia Medical Center on the North Causeway. I love everyone there. Only complaint is we wait quite a while after we're in the back.

We also used Carithers until he retired. We tried a few drs and none have compared, but we have been happy enough with Halifax Children’s Medical Center in Port Orange, Dr. Ahmed in particular.

I like Volusia pediatrics. My son sees Delgado and Chiapco. ❤️ them!! He has been going there since he was 2 and he’s now 17 on 11/8. My son has had many health issues but they’ve been great referring him out and working with specialists. Also, I’ve NEVER had to wait more than a few hours for same day sick visits for the past 15 years. That’s impressive!

I took my daughter to Dr Christina Garcia years ago when she was on Indian River. My daughter was having GI issues and the Doctor said " yeah, and what do you want me to do about it?" We never went back.

Just wondering what is it about Dr. Garcia that people don’t like? I’m genuinely asking bc I have had great experiences to far. We started at Volusia medical and had absolutely horrible experiences with our entire family. Switched to Volusia Pediatrics and never looked back...

We see Dr. Chiapco. We won't see Garcia after after a comment she made when I took my second child to see her for his first visit. She acted surprised when I told here they have the same father. (We have been together 8 years and the boys look like his mini.) She seemed even more surprised we were still together. Never gave her any indication there was any trouble or we had seperated. It was very unprofessional the way she talked to me.

I like Dr. Chiopco. I will NOT see Garcia.

We started at VP with Dr. Casey. She left and we ended up with Dr. Garcia. After a few visits with her, we left. My daughter goes to Dr. Orezzoli in Daytona and we're super happy there.

Dr Luong and Dr Treece are amazing both my boys go and they love them

My son is 18 now but I did take him to Volusia pediatrics one time when he was younger and that was that, he seen Dr Garcia . I have never encountered such a rude, opinionated, judgmental and very rude doctor for children . We went to Dr Carithers and never looked back ! .

I'm shocked reading these comments. I thought it was just me. Dr. Garcia had me in tears when I was there as a new mother 11 years ago. She talked down to me like I was so incompetent. This was at my very first appointment when my daughter was only two days old. I was 24 but looked much younger. I always felt she was judging me. I changed doctors and I'm very happy now with Dr. Doolin!

Agree. Dr. Chiapco is the best there. He doesn't show too much emotion but he's very thorough and proactive. I agree about Garcia...no one I know that's been there liked her. Only thing I hate about Volusia pediatrics is they will cancel your appointment unless you call them back to confirm the day before. They need a better system like texting to confirm appts...especially for people with little babies. No one's got time to talk on the phone or answer it with a newborn! Lol.

My grandson had a terrible dislike for Dr Garcia and my daughter changed Dr's!

I also had a terrible experience with Dr. Garcia. We went to Carithers (who was the best) until he retired and now we use Dr. Luong.

Stay out of Edgewater. We use Ormond pediatrics.

Coastal Pediatrics on West Granada in Ormond I live in Edgewater and I know it is a little ways from here but it's totally worth it I love that place the doctor is amazing and so is the stuff he definitely knows what he's talking about and my baby loves him he's very funny he's Jamaican wonderful doctor love his accent too LOL

We use Kathy Smith P.A..at Volusia pediatrics.. she's great. We used to use Dr. Chiopco there too, love, love love him.. he had some health problems not sure if he's back tho.

Dr Tolat is awesome and he has hours at the NSB hospital by 95 - FL Hospital - on Wednesdays. His main office is at the Fl Hosp at the Ormond exit off 95. We love him!!

Dr Lopez is AWESOME!!!! he is down to earth, speaks to you AND your child. Listens to your concerns & offers many options to health care. If there is an emergency situation, will fit you in, they rock! Will miss them since my child will soon no longer be able to have access as she will be too old. Wish we could take him & his staff with us! You will LOVE them!

One time I took my daughter to Dr Garcia for an ear ache..she walked into room, and before even examining her, said she was going to prescribe an antibiotic.. I said " I don't give my kids antibiotics" and she very snottily replied "well then what are you here for?!" So I snottily replied "gee, I don't know, maybe some eardrums we can use all summer as needed?" I immediately requested a change of doctors on my way out.. this was after a previous visit where she criticized my 16 year olds weight and facial piercings. I don't care for her bedside manor.but EVERONE else there is great, nurses,front desk,referral nurse.They have even continued care for my daughters headaches after she turned 18. And prescribed birth control. 2 thing I wouldn't have known were possible if it hadn't have been for Kathy Smith.. yeah, love her ! Lol !

Yeah they aren't exactly the easiest to come by. Not any in a close vicinity. We drive to Ormond for Dr. Rodriguez and he's great but to find an extremely knowledgeable doctor on every single subject is rare.

We took Nya to Dr. Casey and Ahni went to Dr. Luong at Volusia Medical Center. Dr Casey seemed way more natural and we will be switching Ahni over to her eventually. We only go for emergencies as well but want someone who is less likely to just go ANTIBIOTICS PLEASE! lol Dr. Casey also co slept with all her kids. We really like her.

Yeah Dr. Casey in NSB at Volusia Ped. She's the closest you'll get around here. If you're willing to drive Dr. Rodriguez in Maitland at Sunshine Pediatrics.

She's good. She is Alana and Taj's Doctor...Alana is even friends with her daughters and has stayed over her house a couple of times she is super nice! She's also the on call Dr for Volusia pediatrics..so she must be the best there

I took my 4 children to Dr. Neena Chopra on Dunlawton Ave. in Port Orange. I liked her and so did the kids. Alexandra Hemme, ask them what they thought of her.

I don't know what kind of treatment you are against, but my stepmom takes my two really young siblings to Dr. Lopez in port orange. He believes in a lot of natural European medication!

Chiapco with Volusia Pediatrics. Awful bedside manner - didn't even look me in the face or greet me when he met me, just glanced at his clip board and ignored me. He is so weird, because he is serious about breastfeeding newborns but insists there's no point after a year because it loses its nutrition. What he told me was so full of stupid I couldn't even give him a good response, I was too busy being flabbergasted over such misinformation being given by a doctor with a masters degree. All I could do was remind him the World Health Organization states breastfeeding for 2+ years for optimal health of mom and baby. And now continue to look for a more updated doctor that cares to expand his knowledge as more and more information becomes available.

We left volusia pediatrics and now go see Dr Jeantry in ormond it's a drive but he's a good dr.

Childrens Medical Center.... Dr. Ahmeds group... he specializes in Infectious Disease... and Dr Gianini is awesome as well... I work with them all at Halifax.
