Ugh we have been dealing with this dilemma. But Nate is so complicated that basically his work has to be done in a hospital. So for us, all based on who takes our insurance ! Ha. Dr. Collins in People's plaza seemed good but just didn't take our insurance. They were great with Nate ( and anyone who can deal with Nate would be great for your Little one too. I cant believe Shapiro's office didn't give you some recommendations where to go. I have my doubts with that office. Too many dentist.. )
Keleigh D. replied:
Will had to have dental work done with sedation. We used Dr. Jacobs in Wilmington, Will did great! Only downside is that sedation is typically not covered for minor dental work (cavity, root canal) laughing gas is but not the type of sedation Will received. He wasn't asleep but very woozy and he didn't remember a thing afterwards. It was worth not seeing him so panicked.

I also heard Dr Collins in people's plaza was good but didn't tame our insurance either
Johanna C. replied:

Becky B. replied:
Christy is right, although Dr. Shapiro is not actually there often, every other doctor in the office and all the hygienists and staff are great!

Dr. Shapiro is the devil. I recommend Carr Family Dentistry in Elkton.

She went today to Silly Smiles and loved it...I had more anxiety than she did
One of our members is asking for recommendations on pediatric dentists for a child who is scared of them. Any good names to share?
Dawn F. replied:
Dr. Bresler's Cavity Busters in Newtown Square. 4659 West Chester Pike (484) 444-0700. Even after we moved an hour away we still take Brett there. They are awesome with him and he now loves to go see the dentist (especially Dr. Sara).

We always went to Newark Dental on Main Street in Newark and my sister takes her kids there now. Don't know if it's considered pediatric but they are amazing (especially Cammie) and they have a big toy bin to pick a toy when you leave.
