Do not go to Dr. Miniman! Aside from not being good with kids, I believe he filled a couple of teeth that didn't really have cavities...tried to do it again the next visit and I became suspicious so I went for a second opinion. There were no cavities!!!

We are going to see the new doctor who joined the practice last year as Dr. Lehmicke's replacement, Dr. Speare. If we like her, we'll stay. If not, I may be shopping for a new pediatrician as well.Personally, myself, nor my son, are fans of Dr. Applegate or Dr. Yeh. We were so spoiled by Dr. Lehmicke that we've both become picky, I guess. lol

We use Dr. Richard Koup and Dr. Mark Koup in Paoli/Malvern area... I love them to no end.

With all due respect DO NOT take him to Dr Kenneth Miniman... He is not good with children...he does not inform them of what he's going to do before he does it, ex. Raise the chair, etc...he scared my son so bad he was crying...he needs to retire...I think he's in pediatrics for the upscale co pay because its considered a specialty...

Thanks so much for sharing your experience. We won't be going to Dr. Miniman. As I mentioned above, I am taking him to Rose Tree Kids, Dr. Alexandra Hochster-Korman. After researching some very good reviews online and it again being recommended here, we are going to give her a try.

My children went to Dr. Lehmicke (boy, I miss him!). They go to Dr. Capista at Williamsburg Dental in Broomall. Great practice and I would highly recommend any of the dentists in that practice.

We also used Dr Lehmicke, and the closest you will find in dentistry is Gregory Hillyard. Office on State Rd sort of opposite the Old State Grill or whatever that restaurant is called. Kind, gentle, caring, took an emergency appt for my dad on a Saturday when he wasn't even his patient, and - and this is HUGE - will NOT keep you waiting. Typically, they are ready and show you right back when you arrive. At the most, you might sit for five minutes. So unlike my last dentist, where I had to wait close to an hour on several occasions (and then left his practice). Third-generation dentist in Media - you don't get more hometown than that!

Dr. Field is great. My youngest was pretty scared of going to the dentist when he was little and she and her staff were always wonderful with him.

We go to Dr Kenneth Miniman on Baltimore Pike right before the 352 overpass. Pediatric Dentist only. Very good with my son. He has never been afraid if the dentist. Never a wait. They handle all insurance claims timely. Appointment times are always spot on. Friendly office staff and an overall excellent experience for the past 11 years! Can't say enough good things.

Just as a follow up, who do you go to as a pediatrician now that Dr. Lehmicke retired? I am not sure if I should stay with Riddle or find a new practice. I liked Dr. Lehmicke!

Not in media, but my son goes to Dr Rose at Eagle Crest in Havertown. she specializes in kids with special needs. My son does not have any issues, but her 'chair side' manner is amazing and her staff follows suit. Def worth the little drive.

It's not Media, but we go to Eagle Crest Pediatric Dentist in Havertown. Dr. Rose is amazing with the children. She talks to them and really makes them feel comfortable.

Eagle Crest is open until 8 a couple nights a week and I think it may also be open on Saturdays

My kids love Dr. Field. She's recently moved to Swarthmore, though. Still not far.

Dr Sheldon Bernick/Broomall, Dr Claire fields/media or Breslin/newton square, rose tree dental has a great peds dept! I am the referral coordinator at CHOP Care in Broomall for The past 22 yrs. I know a lot of drs in the area;) good luck!!

A little bit away but I highly recommend Dr. Wollack at dentistry of suburban square. Worth the ride. He's wonderful.

If you don't mind driving to Narberth (and it's well worth it imo), Dr Leigh Ann Maltz Dichter is hit-it-out-of-the-park good.

Dr. Claire Field in Swarthmore. Both my kids go there & she's amazing!! My son has had a lot of issues that took him to CHOP Oral Surgery & he also has braces. She coordinated everything & was so thorough!!

Dr. Benjamin McKee in Wayne. Not in Media area but a godsend for my son who was terrified. We also saved thousands of dollars that a local pediatric dentist wanted us to spend to put him under for fillings. He’s very patient and understanding. Pm if you want to know more about our experience.

My dad says you should ask for Dr Bordonero if u don't already have an appt. my dad taught him at penn dental school.

Also, don't ever go to Dr Moscow. He messed up a crown on my teeth back when I was a kid and it caused my back molar to come in crooked and pushed my teeth out of alignment

I was very unhappy with Broomall Pediatric next to McDonald's. The dentist was mean to Cassidy and rude to me. It was the little man, I don't remember his name but I think he was upset that my girls are taller than him. We go to Lower Merion Pediatric and LOVE Dr Eric. He is amazing with both of my girls and takes time to make them feel comfortable. He told Cassidy that his favorite princess is Ariel because she married Prince Eric and that's his name.

Eagle Crest in Havertown. They work with your hours and dr rose is a beautiful person with an amazingly patient kind staff!

Turns out that I did get a late night appt at Eagle Crest for my children! Thank you Alyssa for the recommendation and everyone else for the input! I know I can ALWAYS count on my community friends in times like these and I do so appreciate it!

Children's dental health, in Media. We were there recently and the dentist, Dr. Miniman was simply outstanding. The hygienists were equally as kind and gentle.
