Can anybody recommend great pediatrician, who is great with kids, takes time, warm, understanding, and great doctor? Sadly very not pleasant experience with Needham...
Erica K. replied:
Dr. Elkort at Newton Wellsley. Funny, makes it easy for kids to talk to. Up on his stuff. Really like him.
Elizabeth H. replied:
We also started at Needham pediatrics and didn't like it. We moved to Ped. Assoc. of Wellesley (Weston) and love Dr. landis. Great with kids and parents, informative, helpful, respectful of our parenting style. He's great! It's a short drive and they have (urgent) weekend hours.
Dale M. replied:
I love Westwood Mansfield pediatrics. Can't say enough good things about both my kids Drs, Halle and Hartman. And I should add that if your child has any special needs they have a SKIP program (special kids in progress) where they allow more time for visits and you always see your dr. They are very proactive and have excellent follow through. If they say try something for three weeks, you will get a call three weeks later even if you've forgotten about it!
Heather P. replied:
I love all of the pediatricians at Harvard Vanguard in Welesley. Try Dr. Monica
Debbie P. replied:

Looking for a great pediatrician in the area for my 4 y.o. Do you love your kids' dr. and practice? Please share names!
Sam F. replied:
We love the very small practice we go to in Wellesley (near the Newton line). There are two doctors and they book lots of time with you for appointments - and we have always been able to get in whenever we needed to. They are: Dr. Ann Becker & Dr. Rose King, 332 Washington St., Wellesley, MA, phone: 781-235-7730.
Rachel H. replied:
Pediatrics at Newton Wellesley Hospital. We go to Dr Kramer, she's wonderful. (617) 969-8989

Deanna S. replied:
We just switched to Dr Gara Matthews and she is fantastic!
Andrea N. replied:
I just moved to the area and started seeing Dr. Elkort at Pediatrics at NWH, I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful he is. My 3 yr old has had a long history of seeing doctors and NONE of them compare to this guy. We have never waited more than 10 minutes and he spends 20 minutes with us each time we've seen him. He is exceptional!
Tanya L. replied:
Second Pediatrics at NWH, we see Dr. Michael Elkort on a regular basis but had great experience with other pediatricians in this practice.
Tamara W. replied:
Ditto Lori Gara-Matthews at Pediatric Healthcare, just over the Wellesley line.

We've been very happy with Harvard Vanguard on rt 9, border of Newton and Wellesley (I think that's what Annie meant above). All the Pediatricians we've seen were great. Our kids go to Dr. Hadawi and Dr. Monica, but we've met the others at sick visits. I really appreciate their after hours line too!
