Well I do agree with you on the prices at The Tack Shop but I had a good experience with staff there. I bought a pair of very nice field boots at Wise Choice. One of the laces broke after the first use(these were new boots) and WC didn't have replacement laces nor could they lace it if I found a pair. So I went to The Tack Shop and solved my problem.

I've yet to find any western tack shops in northern/central Kentucky. It may be a bit of a drive for you but there's a great western tack shop/clothing store in Lebanon, OH called Liberty Western. That's where I go. Either that or I wait til AQHA congress rolls around and get stuff there. But it's been a while since I've looked for a tack shop so I'd love to know if there's more!

I don't have tail photos, but I can do tails too. For your photo shoot, I can do a mane and tail for $50. I'll probably need an hour and a half to two hours time with your mare, depending on her opinion of the process. I can also teach you how to do it, if you prefer.

Mammoth cave has riding trails, used to be Jesse James but new owners renamed it Double J stables. I think the prices are reasonable, somewhere around $20/person for an hour, rates go up for longer rides. Don't quote me on the price but it's pretty close to that
