Another vote for Coleman Opticians on St. Augustines. Katie Fenn and her team are fantastic. They're the only ones that spotted a defect with my eyelid that means I need an operation and they are always very patient and thorough.
Hi All, Can anyone recommend a good Optician in Norwich please? Following a less than wonderful experience with a well known name I'm looking to get a second opinion....

I had an awful experience at a well known optician and now use Moss & Leaky on Timberhill, 5* always great service!
Bit of a random one, can anyone reccomend any Norwich opticians which fit lenses in glasses bought elsewhere? (I know Specsavers/Vision Express refused me last time)...

If you're OK slightly out of the city - Coe Costa and Moore (Hellesdon and Eaton) are great. Wouldn't touch Specsavers with a bargepole after they mucked up my Mum's prescription (had to have a second lot of varifocals a few months later) and gave bad advice to a friend.

Paxon Opticians on Castle Meadow. Old school and traditional. Used to see them in Great Yarmouth back in the day, they've been around some time!

I work with children, and over the years have known many who had eye tests at Specsavers (Norwich and Dereham) that weren't accurate, so I avoid them for myself. My family use either Boots or Vision Express, both have much more thorough tests and after care.

Hi all! I'm looking for a recommended optician in Norwich that focusses on their job (and doesn't try to sell contact-lens subscriptions).

Tesco Sprowston were good. And free

Another vote for Coleman Opticians here. Very friendly and thorough.

Coleman Opticians on St Augustines are wonderful. I had the complete opposite experience to Jo at that Specsavers they treated me abominably trying to make me take a soft lens subscription, wasting two months of my life trying different lenses and then admitting they didn't know how to get me full sight with soft lenses! Will never go back there, it's all about the money! Coleman however are marvellous, they take their time, do their research, care about their patients and when you have complex vision that's a must. They've been brilliant with my children, even noticing a problem with one of my daughters' eyes that Specsavers had missed for years. Can't recommend them highly enough!
Norwich people- anyone know a particularly child-friendly opticians in Norwich (preferably near to Taverham but not essential)? X

Olivia gets her glasses and the others have their eyes tested at Nikki Nelson opticians in Alysham, she's great with the kiddies, especially with Abi. Xxxx
