I see Dr. Hamwi in Lafayette. He's great and caring. The group in Knoxville wouldn't ever approve my daughter and I for the insulin pump, but we both got approved by Dr. Hamwi.

Dr. Moffitt is good. I used to see him. Now I see Dr. Dake in Oak Ridge who is also good. They both are part of Endocrinology Consultants of East TN.

Dr. Amit Vora. I've driven from Lafayette, Indiana to see him for the past year. Recently moving just north of Knoxville. I had Thyroid cancer and my surgery was at Northwestern in Chicago. My cousin from Lafollette also has had Thyroid cancer. She couldn't say enough good things about him. After not being able to get an endocrinologist to get my Synthroid right for 3 years. I started going to Dr. Vora. He's awesome! He not only looks at your labs, but he listens to you and how you're feeling. Now my meds are almost on point and I feel so much better!

Dr. Vora is only good if he knows what is wrong with you. If after testing, he can't figure it out then he will release you and tell you that there is no reason to come back. Then, you can't get in with anyone in that practice.

I'd suggest finding someone in Knoxville. Primary care doctors are good in Oak Ridge. Specialists, not so much.

I used Casey Page in west Knoxville. I felt like he really took care of me. When he felt like he was not adding any additional value to my care he referred me back to my primary.

Dr. Amit Vora is great so is his wife.. Dr. Bunick is retiring on her birthday.. shes down to 3 days a week.. She is great you learn a lot from her.

Dr Andrew Dake is an endocrinologist in Oak Ridge he is great. We went to him and he has been very thorough. Dr Bunick was not taking new patients wth my daughters diagnosis due to prepping to retire

Dr. Bunick is good, but Dr. Page is Knoxville is AMAZING.

Dr Elaine Buick is one of the top endocrinologist in the country. but rumor has it. She is looking to retire this year. I believe her son is looking to take over her practice.

There is another endocrinologist in Oak Ridge.. Andrew Dake...he is really good

Finding a practice in Oak Ridge is difficult, but there is a newer dr in Oak Ridge who is good. Dr. Andrew Dake.

I would say Dr. Gayla Harris. I used her twice and she is wonderful. She don't waste your time or money. She let's you know to the point what you need to do and what she thinks will work. She's near parkwest hospital.
