I don't have any experience with Dr. Brockman, but I've gone to Dr. Grahm for over 30 years. The reason I like him so much is because he is able to come up with VERY creative solutions to vision issues. For example, I was fitted with mono-vision contacts (different prescription in each eye) and while that was wonderful for general use, I needed magnifying glasses for some very detailed sewing that I was doing. He made me a set of glasses with two different magnifications that evened out the vision in both eyes and had plain glass on the top of the lenses so I was able to see distance without taking off the glasses. He is able to problem solve and is creative.in working out a solution. If I ever moved away from the valley I would still make my vision appointments with him regardless of how far I needed to travel..

Just went to Topa Topa Optometry yesterday for the first time and feel good about it. They have great customer service so you could call and ask all about price first. I am assuming that you need glasses and not medical care for your eyes? Also right now The eyeglass factory in Ventura has a 2 for one special. They have a good reputation and an optometrist next door that they work with. Hope this helps.

I had the same as Stephen Adams The Veterans Hosp in West LA repaired it with Laser's, Like he said don't wait.. have it fixed right away.

My husband sees Dr Avery for his retina problem. He has an Oxnard office as well as one in Santa Barbara.

Brian - If you're having an emergency, I urge you to go the ER either at the Ojai Community Hospital or Ventura's Community Memorial. I see Dr. Steven Chang who's office is near Community Memorial though he's very booked but might see an emergency case. He does take my medicare coverage in addition to my Anthem "Medigap" insurance. Dr. Brockman is our new optometrist (we just moved to Ojai). He is very tuned-in to his patients. I give him the highest marks for listening skills. The other thing I like about his practice is the woman who runs the lenses/frames part is TOP NOTCH. I've had lenses made in Seattle and Solvang many times. I didn't appreciate what a crappy job they were doing until I had the pleasure of wearing my new glasses from Topa Topa. I am a fan for life.

Try Dr. Spencer 's, Oxnard & Camarillo offices...excellent son & father Eye Surgeons..Pls. don't ask me what Ins. they take, call there office..

I just saw Dr. Sebring in Ventura. She's an eye surgeon but not sure if she does eyelids. You may need a regular plastic surgeon for that.
