Does anyone know any decent gunsmiths in the area? I inherited a few really neat antiques from my grandfather that have some (mostly cosmetic) damage that I would like...

I work for a local range/gunshop, but I do smithing on the side, and antiques in particular are what I work on most. Let me know what ya got and I'll see what I can do!

You should give Nate at Oak Ridge Gun Range a call and see what he can do for you. Dude is super meticulous. (407) 857-5663

I've worked with [Dante over at SSD Armory near Winter Park](http://ssdarmory.com/). Good work, great guy to chat with too. Really respectful and careful with any firearms he receives.

If you have any old smiths you can get a letter from S&W Archives for some $, it may ad more value to that piece. Colts are always nice to receive. Could you post what you received? Or send me a PM. Let me know if you are looking to sell or trade any of them. Guns are my hobby. Thank you Glad you got them and they were not surrendered. D
Looking for antique/thrift stores that have interesting and/or unique items. Canadian here- gonna be in Orlando for a week. I've always had a fascination with the USA,...

Maggie's Cool Stuff on 591 State Road 436. They had lots of interesting things, including an old fire hydrant that I really wish I could get my hands on. (way too expensive :( Instead I ended up getting a mushroom shaped terrarium.) The owners seemed very friendly and they give out cookies and popcorn.

Adjectives Market, on 436 in Altamonte Springs (just north-ish of Orlando), has some pretty funky stuff.

Florida Victorian in DeLand (about 30-45 minutes North of Orlando) has all kinds of interesting stuff to browse. http://www.floridavictorian.com/ Bonus: Excellent bar / live music venue in same building. http://www.cafedavincideland.com/ Downtown DeLand and the surrounding neighborhoods are very historic.

All: we're planning a trip to Nashville and Memphis. We've researched antiques places, etc. Any special places MCM-people suggest we visit or shop? Thank you kindly....
Brenda G. replied:
Wonders on Woodland in East Nashville is one of the best places. The 2 nd floor mezzanine level is MCM. Not a ton of stuff but nicely refinised and reasonably priced. Pre to Post Modern is also a must see in Nashville. There was a great write up about the owner's home recently posted on this site. The Downtown Antique Mall in the Gulch usually has a few gems. These are all Nashville Suggestions. I've got nothing for ya on Memphis.
