Getting Certified
Hey, I'm looking to get certified. The UCF way always gets full the same day it opens. Anyone know the cost, and some good places to go? I do not have...

www.dayoscuba.com is probly who I would recommend if the UCF one is full. DO **NOT** buy gear until you make a few dives, renting is much cheaper in the long run, since you won't re-buy gear, or buy gear that you end up not liking. Rent for a few dives (tag along with us), and then make a decision, not to mention you can lurk thedecostop and scubaboard to get really good gear at a great price.

James and AJ pretty much summed it up.. I can only append this to the discussion: "Scuba rocks!" But yea, come to the meetings, meet the locals, come diving and you will have a blast. Welcome to the club.

I was talking with the girl that runs Outdoor Adventure at the RWC (which is who puts it on) they are going to have more classes in the spring semester. I know we're still in the fall semester but it's still an option. They will be offering three different class though. They're offering a regular PADI Open Water Certification Class, PADI Advanced Open Water Certification (Takes place in West Palm Beach, FL), and a PADI Nitrox Upgrade Class. The instructor who teaches these classes is really good. I took the class with him and was very pleased with it.

Guys, if you need discount gear, call Rich@Cave Excursions, he's hooked several people up from here 386.454.7511. I know lots of us go there at least 1-2 times a month and could bring stuff back for you. Also Ed@Cave Adventurers gives really good deals, but you'd have to pay shipping. I know he'll give you easily the best deal you can find on salvo/dive rite regs. And of course, Tobin@www.deepseasupply.com giving us 20% off everything.
