It doesn't matter what you leave out or not. They go where there is water. I can't remember if we had the house treated by Home Team Pest Control or Apex.. but they sprayed and gave me several liquid baits to put under sinks. Got rid of them.

Any honest pest control company will tell you that you need to address ant problems yourself.. ants are a constant battle here. Try some corn grits in a few spots.. they eat it and die. For just a few ants, I use this eco friendly spray you can buy at Publix that works really well.. controls the problem immediately. The Terro stuff works but it's really sticky and messy and the ants make a mess dragging it around. DIY solutions for ants are really you're best bet!
