Took my now 4 yr old to Dr Patricia Jones she was amazing and kind and gave us a printout of all of his allergies. We only had there office copay and that was it insurance paid the rest for us not sure if it was because we were sent by his pediatrician or what. It could be your cats because my son was around cats for a couple of years and them all of a sudden he started having really bad asthma so took him for testing and sure enough he was highly allergic to cats just like that. Our bodies are always changing and something that didn't affect us one day can the next it is so weird. Good luck though with your search and testing and pray that it isn't your precious Kitties.

I see Dr Henry Kanarek. I highly recommend him. He takes all insurances and I recently went to a conference where he spoke. He says a lot of people are not vaccinated properly. He checks titers then meets with you again. I am a Respiratory Therapist with Asthma and I trust this guy with my life. He treats adults and kids. Very thorough. I am allergic to dogs and he made it so I could get a dog and live without a lot of trouble.

Bruce Pfuetze is great. I have many slight food allergies and they have never told me to stop eating them, just warned about what the issues can be if I continue. Also I had a blood test done to check for allergies. It was amazing to see the info that came back. It was a lot more info then the prick test and didn't hurt as much (also my insurance at the time paid for everything, I just had a normal office copay)

Dr. Tran at the allergy & Asthma center in Overland Park is fantastic. She doesn't stop until she is able to help you. She gives a print out of any allergies you have and also where they're found if it's a chemical allergy. Those allergy tests can be expensive even with insurance, my insurance only covered about half but you'd have to check with yours to see what they cover. Regardless of who you choose, I hope you find some relief soon!

He is an understanding doctor. I'm sure you could call and talk to them about it before you go. Have you had these issues your whole life and been around cats? If it something new and you have been around cats before then I would say it is something else. Kansas City is the worst when it comes to allergies and with temps warming up they are starting to kick up.
