@Sue Maguire I would suggest that it may be a good idea to consider getting a couple of backpacks. Mail/Ship her "heavy suitcase" to Ivar in Santiago to hold for your arrival from Porto. You won't need to deal with it again. You will probably not need to pack much in your packs for the walk from A Guarda into Santiago...about 150 km (93 miles).
