I used Pat Ryan movers twice for in-city moves... super fast, pro, and well-priced.
Rogue movers and storage are they best. They helped Johnny, Jamie, and I move. Check out this yelp deal: $50 for $100: http://www.yelp.com/biz/rogue-moving-and-storage-san-francisco-2.

+1 for not using Winter Moving!! The only redeeming part of that experience was the refund I got for the damage to my TV!

The MOVE is ON! I'll be relocating to a sumptuous spot in Potrero Hill. More on that later. For now, packing and such. Any good suggestions on movers? Any great...

Recommendations for Movers to Vancouver Island? Hey we are moving over to Vancouver Island in June. Has anyone had pleasant/unpleasant moving experiences with regional...

I've gone back to moving myself and just getting a portable storage bin that I can lock delivered from a to b. Movers are like roofers, you can do all the due diligence in the world and a week later they have all different shifty staff or special fees once they are done or take your stuff or break things etc etc. Fortunately I can take a week to pack and unpack so I don't break my back. The savings easily pay for moving blankets and an appliance dolly

I would honestly recommend Fraser McLarnin & Brad at Crown Mountain Movers. crownmountainmovers@gmail.com - 778 872-7696. They specialize in big moves like this. Fraser is a good friend and they're honest, nice guys. They are always really flexible and have bent over backwards to help me. http://www.crownmountainmovers.com/.

I've used 2 burley men within Victoria and I know they do moves throughout BC, not sure how much it'll cost you though
ChokeDownDatPill replied:
I use the East Van moving for everything. They're just nice guys with a truck. They will probably have the cheapest rate even though they don't specialize in that because they're just regular dudes and would probably want to go to Victoria for a day trip. 3 times I have used them they show up and do good work for less than half of what anyone else charges, but it is seriously just some good ole East Van boys in an old cube van so don't expect matching jumpsuits, just guys with strong backs and a truck to haul your shit... they have also always been on-time for my moves even though they are just little 2-hour cross-town jobs, and i've always had to use them on the 1 st/31 st kind of deal
Brian Hamilton from The Fleshies does moving gigs.
