Thank you all. I got it taken care off. Roger Strand couldn't do it today so I ended up calling Summit Heating who were able to come today so my newborn and I wouldn't freeze. Apparently the problem was a big bug blocking some water condensation opening or something. Anyway, summit heating did a good job if anyone ever needs a heating person.

We ended up having Hartman Heating and A/C put in mini splits (after a consult to see what options were available). Not an inexpensive option, but way less painful than having walls and flooring ripped up to "fix" existing unit with ductwork. We also had Greenify (an energy efficiency company) come out and seal up air leaks in our house, tint upstairs windows, add insulation to attic space, and a roof heat reflector foil put up. They had other suggestions, but that's what we went with. It hurt $-wise inititally, but we are WAY more comfortable now. We don't even turn on our main A/C unit anymore since the downstairs doesn't get all that hot anyway. We were told not to cover too many vents downstairs to block air since the ducts going upstairs were simply not big enough to handle that volume of air, so just be aware of that. Good luck!
