Just a few mile from Carlisle nr & 4 miles from Gretna green is the Graham's Arms Hotel in Longtown lovely & not surrounded by nightlife!!

I live in Carlisle and would love to do one of your courses If you're looking for nice hotels the Crown at Wetheral or Dalston Hall in Dalston. If you're wanting cheap then the Premier Inns are great ..... The various B&B's on Warwick Road are fairly central and all ok...... xx

ooh why are you in Carlisle? My hometown! Hallmark is nice, or crown of mitre, or cumbria park. There are some nice B n Bs along warwick rd, if you googled it. The Ruin Thai - also has a web page, is really gorgeous food. Pm me if you need any other info! xx

brotherswater inn bottom of kirkstone had several bike clubs meets there , paterdale hotel in paterdale (has a couple of large bike meets yearly) , old dungeon ghyll in the langdales (my fave location) never had any problem with any of them really and neither have my friends, I'm sure there will be hundreds of locations if you google :-) http://www.bike-stay.net/uk/stay_cumbria.html
