Rice Lake vet, Sue is very good and very thorough also if it's an emergency she opens up. Cavan hills vet, Cavan hills is open 24/7 which I find so very convenient. I have called Cavan Hills at midnight and have been in by 2 am, and no " emergency fees.

I recently had a very sad experience, and as a result used an emergency vet between cobourg and Peterborough. I was so very impressed by them. First of all the price they charge in an emergency is 1/2 the price of anywhere else that offers emergency services. Secondly all the vets I called during this emergency were very concerned with credit card payment or other before seeing my pet, this vet however was more concerned with me getting there and we could deal with those detail afterwards. While I was there after hours I observed someone coming in for a late night check up with there owner who works shift work and only had late evenings available. These were all qualities I couldn't ignore. If the drive isn't a bother from where ever you are I suggest checking out http://www.cavanhillsvet.com/. I have always sworn by Northumberland vet is Colborne, however they aren't taking any new clients and it's up for sale. Cavan hills is my other number 1.

I do not recommend the vet accross from the keg, high st veterinary. I went in for an exam and i was out in 5 min and he didn't even look at my dog, he just gave me a dewormer that he wanted me to return for the rest of. (which is ridiculous) I personally like peterborough veterinary services on the kingsway. (My puppy is always excited to go aswell!) Everything has been fairly priced and quality care. I'm about to get my husky male fixed there, price approx $300. http://www.ptbovets.ca/

We've always used Cavan Hills for our animals. Wonderful vets and staff, and reasonably priced.

I know both vets in the first posting and would NOT recommend either (speaking from experience) Try Rice Lake vet (hollistic, very compassionate and knowledgable, affordable as well) or Dr. Prior at Sherbrooke Animal Heights Clinic

After they are cleaned..what about Dental Dry food and dental treats
Brittnee M. replied:
Ernie Basciano also Dental Dry cat food. Pet Valu has 2 brands to chose from. Also buy dental treats. I thought the price per bag was good. Maybe try that for a bit & brushing. Good luck.
UPDATE: this horse is SAFE! She got fluids and started to sweat. Put meds on her cuts. Also got an alcohol bath. If anyone wouldn't mind please keep an eye on her...
All the horses are very dehydrated, some more than other. Monitor water intake on these guys. (The best you can, everyone is doing such an amazing job saving these horses)
Anyone know if Lucknow vet still does tail docking and dewclaw removal?? Expecting a litter of pups and my current vet has informed me they no longer do those procedures.

Here is their web site you could always e-mail them and ask as well as for pricing. http://ripleyhuronvetclinic.ca/
English Line Vet Clinic. It's a little further than I wanted to drive being in Campbellford, but the service has been amazing and pricing very reasonable!

Speaking as someone who has personally worked in the field for over 16 years, has worked with this vet, and takes her own pets to this vet I would HIGHLY advise you take your pets to DR. KIM FACEY at Apsley Veterinary Services!!
