I had great results with my elbow at Moss rehab, as mentioned previously lower level of the design center. I recently went to Penn/Good Sheppard Rehab at the old Graduate Hospital and had good success. Many of the PT's specialize in certain areas, (or at least have an interest in certain areas) so he may want to inquire about that before he selects his PT.

My husband has had shoulder surgery twice. Highly recommend Rothman and Dr. Aboud. He (husband) is currently doing PT at NovaCare's Sporting Club location and is very happy with the service.
David G. replied:
Novacare is more like No Care, they get you in and get you out and do not give a shit about you.

I have also had great success with Excel (I worked with Greg). http://www.excelphysicaltherapy.com/

I went to Larua Kivlen at NovaCare. They have a location in the Sporting Club At The Bellevue. She was great and got me back to running after tearing my Achilles.

Strongly recommend a second opinion or referral to Aqua Therapy, rehab at 1/3 of body weight, build core strength. Take it from a retired respiratory therapist and best success!

Yes! I run Drexel University's PT clinics. All of our full time PTs are board certified in Orthopaedics and 2 of us (me and Rob Maschi) specifically treat runners. Call 225.572.4287 and we can get you scheduled! Thanks!

I had good results with PT on my rotator cuff at Excel PT. I would think certainly PT would be part of your healing approach. My own experience was bad with achilles / plantar when they tried to put me in orthotics, stabilization shoes, etc - it just meant, recurring injuries, missing running, misery, etc. The only thing that changed everything for the better, for me, was "thinking out of the box." You'll see no more pontificating coming from me on this issue, no more "back-and-forth", but...I am looking forward to meeting the author of Born to Run and thanking him for helping to make me a healthy and "knock wood", consistently injury-free runner. If you're interested in discussing further, PM me. No worries if you're not open to this though, but I am certain it's made a world of difference for me. I went minimal very gradually about 5 years ago, and I'll never go back. http://www.phillymag.com/be-well-philly/2015/03/26/christopher-mcdougall-coming-philly/
