I've had good experience with United Car Care in Sun City. They might not go back to 1987 but I've seen some cars from as far back as the mid '90 s in there (and had work done on a 2000 Accord there).

How positive are you that it needs an engine rebuild? The 22 re is bulletproof. If it needed a headgasket job then it problably still needs just that now. Unless you drove it on a bad headgasket until the engine overheated/seized up and started blowing smoke I don't think you need a rebuild/replacement. You should also try to keep the original engine as it affects value long term.
