I think this is a great idea, David. The contractors we've used so far have been big regional companies - Hanson's Roofing for our roof and siding and gutters, and Bath Fitters for our bathrooms. There is a local contractor who was subbing for Hanson's that I liked, but he's from the south end (I think).

Professional Electrician? Phhhhhhhhh.... Go to Lowe's and pick up some Electrical Wire, wire cutters, a few connectors, screwdriver and the most important - DUCT TAPE (to secure the wiring to the inside or outside wall) and your good to go. No fire hazards or code violations there..... You don't need no stinking professional......
