I know a commercial electrician who might be willing to take on a side job. Let me know and I can hit him up.

Wahl Carrol just did some work for me. They were super professional and extremely reasonable price wise. They had to go buy a part from Home Depot since they didn't have it in truck and didn't charge at all for the time they weren't here, which amazed me after having used other companies in the past.

Is that something your local cable tech told you? I'm not discounting the possibility that you really do need a licensed electrician to sort something out, but "power feedback" to your cable box sounds like just the sort of bullshit I would expect from a cable tech who doesn't have a clue how to diagnose a problem and is sending you on a wild goose chase. One of my favorite bits of BS from a cable tech was when one tried to explain the difference between "positive splitters and negative splitters". And sorry, I don't have any recommendations. In fact, I also have some work that needs done eventually, so here's hoping you get some good leads. Edit: wtf spellcheck correct, oops.

I had two major jobs done by Bradley Electrical. I had the demarcation box replaced one year and the breaker box replaced and a GFCI circuit run for a sump pump last year. Excellent work from some good joes.
