I drive to Silverdale to see Dr. Kuharich - he and his staff are really great and its a chance to do some shopping in Silverdale and Poulsbo. You might try the following and see if they still have their Sequim clinic: http://www.peninsulapainclinic.net

Hello all! I was warned that finding a Doctor in the PA/Sequim area is next to impossible and I should begin my search early, so, here I am :). We're moving up in June...
Samantha C. replied:
I believe family Medicine has agreed to accept military families. Are you CG? Are you apart of the CG Facebook group here? The ombudsman for the air station may have some information. We have seen Dr. Epstein there (love him!) and my kids were accepted quickly at the Peninsula Children's Clinic. You may find yourself having a harder time finding a primary doc, but it should be fairly simple getting your little one in.
Denise H. replied:
Peds clinic for your little one and for yourself you may need to look in Port Townsend which isn't too far but from last I heard is accepting clients. Also, call around and see if you can get on a wait list. My Co worker got into a clinic she was on a wait list for, they had originally told her 6+ months and it was maybe a month.
Jacque M. replied:
Hello, from, previous experience, i would stay away from Family Medicine, they have time limits and no lists of multiple things wrong with you!
Ruth C. replied:
You need to call in advance and get yourself on a waiting list with all the offices you can find. Take the first one that has an opening. The Lower Elwha Clinic and the Jamestown Sklallam Tribe will take you but you're not going to get to see a physician and it is not at all what you're thinking of - more like an emergency clinic type thing. This is a quite serious issue on the peninsula.
Sarah T. replied:
Ditto, re: Dr. Frank at Family Med Ctr. Young, thoughtful, thorough. Can't speak to whether he's taking new patients, but certainly recommend him. We use TriCare there, no pblm.
Carmen C. replied:
I happen to know a great vet...me! Accepting new patients. And so is my associate Dr Holly Irish. The children's clinic is great and I don't think they turn anyone away. Try 8 th St clinic w Olympic medical physicians for you.
Becky B. replied:
I would call omp clinic on 8 th out you name on the list now they have several Dr to pick from but it does take a while to get your first visit and establish but you can view Dr on omc.com
Nan B. replied:
Carmen Czachor ROCKS for a vet! So does her associate Holly! As for human Docs in the area.....good luck!
Kim R. replied:
Dr. Redlin at the 8 th St clinic is great and I believe he is taking new patients.
Denise H. replied:
I love epstein at family medicine. As far as the peds clinic, I like Dr bullen and Dr bay. Dr Harrington is great but she can be a bit rough to get used to. I like seeing her but I've heard from younger moms that they don't like seeing her.
Jacqueline M. replied:
Family Medicine, Dr Frank is accepting patients for pediatrics. i like him a lot
Terri D. replied:
It's called Peninsula Children's Clinic, on Caroline street, They are a great clinic and the providers are great. You can google it for more information. It's a great children's clinic. Google Olympic Medical Center and do a search for physicians. There are also other medical providers that are good in the area but some people are going to like them and some won't so don't rely on someone's opinion that you don't know.
Kristen C. replied:
I won't rely solely on personal opinions. However, if I were to ask and get 5 responses of "stay away from Dr. Joe Schmo!" at least I would know that I shouldn't waste my time vetting Dr. Schmo:D

Deana V. replied:
All my family goes to Family Medicine on the west end of downtown on Front. Dr Sivesind. But, I've heard that nowadays it's hard to get your first appointment anywhere with any primary care doc.
Mark S. replied:
People will tell you that there is at least a six-month waiting list to become a patient of a primary care physician practice in this area. They're not kidding. Get signed up with a primary care practice ASAP. You'll have to go to CliniCare in PA or the Olympic Medical walk-in clinics in PA or Sequim until then. Good luck!
Larry J. replied:
If you mean you are on WA Apple Care this site might help. https://fortress.wa.gov/hca/p1 findaprovider/
Ruth C. replied:
Jamestown Sclallam in Sequim can take you while you're on a waiting list. Go to Planned Parenthood for your Paps etc... It took 3 years for me to find a Primary Care doctor.
Deana V. replied:
Hey, isn't that what all doctors do? That was always my experience - until here. Dr Sivesind respects my wishes to not take meds and has enough education to counsel me on lifestyle changes and choices.

First pick a hospital that you would like to be treated at. Then make sure your physician has privileges at that hospital so when you get admitted, they will be able to check/treat you if need be. Decide if you want a Family Practice doctor or a doctor who is Internal Medicine. In the back of your insurance card is a phone number for Members Services. Call that number for list of physicians who are available & except your insurance. I go to Bryn Mawr Hospital & Dr Matthew Olah is my doctor. Great hospital & doctor! Good luck!
