Hello! I just moved here and I am in desperate need of a good primary care doctor and I would like recommendations. But I am also on state insurance so it would have to...
Deana V. replied:
All my family goes to Family Medicine on the west end of downtown on Front. Dr Sivesind. But, I've heard that nowadays it's hard to get your first appointment anywhere with any primary care doc.
Mark S. replied:
People will tell you that there is at least a six-month waiting list to become a patient of a primary care physician practice in this area. They're not kidding. Get signed up with a primary care practice ASAP. You'll have to go to CliniCare in PA or the Olympic Medical walk-in clinics in PA or Sequim until then. Good luck!
Larry J. replied:
If you mean you are on WA Apple Care this site might help. https://fortress.wa.gov/hca/p1 findaprovider/
Ruth C. replied:
Jamestown Sclallam in Sequim can take you while you're on a waiting list. Go to Planned Parenthood for your Paps etc... It took 3 years for me to find a Primary Care doctor.
Deana V. replied:
Hey, isn't that what all doctors do? That was always my experience - until here. Dr Sivesind respects my wishes to not take meds and has enough education to counsel me on lifestyle changes and choices.
Best woman doctor in the area for my mom as primary physician?
Skip M. replied:
I go to Dr Felecia Sumner in Newtown Square. Young, nice, concerned and knowledgable.
Shannon D. replied:
Dr Bradburd or Dr. Bucco. Have had dealings with both and they are amazing!
Kimberly P. replied:
Sorry to hear that about Kelli. Dr Gavis is very good. Speaking from a clinical perspective.

Sharon T. replied:
First pick a hospital that you would like to be treated at. Then make sure your physician has privileges at that hospital so when you get admitted, they will be able to check/treat you if need be. Decide if you want a Family Practice doctor or a doctor who is Internal Medicine. In the back of your insurance card is a phone number for Members Services. Call that number for list of physicians who are available & except your insurance. I go to Bryn Mawr Hospital & Dr Matthew Olah is my doctor. Great hospital & doctor! Good luck!
Kimberly Y. replied:
Dr Susan Sandler. Ardmore
Sharon T. replied:
Dr. Susan Sandler is the best! She is beautiful inside & out, intelligent & takes time to know you as a person not just a patient.

Does anyone in this group know which primary care doctors are taking new patients right now?
My husband needs to get into to see a doctor bad....and he doesn't have time...
Michael B. replied:
Vimo clinic in Port Angeles.
Jeanne D. replied:
Olympic Medical Primary Physicians Clinic. I was told there was up to a 6 month wait, but was called within a couple of weeks. I would register with them now and use the Olympic Medical walk in clinic for immediate help. I love my Dr. there.
Cyndi W. replied:
Dr Houston at 8 th and Vine. He is from Chicago but has practiced in Saudi Arabia last 10 years. Arrived here this summer. My mom and husband go to him and like him. Good luck!
David H. replied:
To get a primary care doctor consider the Bogachiel clinic in Forks. Bit of a drive, but everyone else has months wait
Annabel K. replied:
Same boat! I also need a primary care doctor badly. I've called every primary care doctor in PA and Sequim and nobody is accepting new patients. The best I got was Jamestown said to call back in the new year because they are out of new patient packets (odd reason). I even tried Jefferson Hospital and the answering message said that they only accept client who reside in that county. I'm going to try Forks or Silverdale/Bremerton next. I've been trying since shortly after my husband and I moved here at the end of March.
Lila A. replied:
VIMO clinic until you get accepted at a primary care.. They will take good care of you. We applied everywhere and it took 7 months to get a primary care doctor. Be patient, it will be worth it.

Brittney J. replied:
You need to get on a waitlist ASAP, even if you have to go to the walk in clinic or ER for this. There is a 4-6 month wait for a first appointment right now at OMP and NOHN. OMP has someone available for one time follow ups after people are in the ER but establishing care is difficult. I tell people to get on waiting lists as soon as they move here. It is very difficult to recruit health care providers out here.
I am in search of a new general practitioner in the PA/Sequim area. Preferably female. My doctor retired on me last summer and I have needs to be addressed asap. Any...

Olympic Medical Physicians phone message says they are not taking new patients but press whatever number you need to press to talk to a human. Tell that person that you are a coast guard spouse and they will allow you to sign up.

North Olympic Healthcare has a few new doctors taking new patients.

Dr. George Mathew. He's the most empathic doctor I've ever had. He not only listens, he explains things.
Faith E. replied:
North Olympic Health Care is great, but it takes forever to get in. My husband is still waiting - months now.
Does anybody know where I can find a reliable primary care physician?
I’ve gotten tossed around 6 doctors in 2 years and I am in dire need of asthma medication.

Jamestown clinic in Sequim has been awesome to me so far. Been very happy there!
Need help here. We were able to secure the specialist we need but not a primary physician. Can someone help? We are hitting a lot of dead ends here. :-/
