Welcome to Fl. We just moved to Rotonda last fall and I searched and searched for good pizza. We like Ricaltini's on Placida by the Dollar General. We also like Dr. Gooding in Englewood. You get in right at your apt. time. Mango Bistro restaurant is good for anything and we also enjoy Farlow's. The only bakery I know of is in a shopping center on Indiana in Englewood that has a Big Lots and Thrift Store. It looks like there is nothing else in there but there is a small bakery that is really good. Lemon Bay Playhouse is a nice small venue for local plays. We are going there on Sun. for a comedy. The library is up on McCall just west of Sunnybrook (Rotonda North Blvd.).

I see you have a little one, so I'll do doctor recommendations: Dr. Timothy Blain on Pine St. in Englewood. He does all ages, babies, kids, adults, seniors, etc. Gynecologist: Dr. Hoche (female) in Port Charlotte at Comprehensive Women's Health Care. She takes care of all stages of women's health. Dentist: (adult) Forster, Davis, Roberts & Boeller in Englewood. Not sure about their ability to see pediatric patients.

Btw, the best kids' dentist is Janoff and Khatri in Venice. I like Dr. DiCiano as an adult dentist. Doctors George and Beena Koppuzha are convenient to Rotonda. There is a Books a Million in Port Charlotte that is OK.
