Lost Lake at Hood River. We were just there over the past 4 days. You can rent kayaks, paddle boats, fishing boats, and other things at the lodge. You can see some of the rental craft in the bottom left corner of the picture.

How big? Will a tiny 22 acre jewel of a lake be big enough? If so, check out my beloved lake at https://www.facebook.com/100984823292442 Fans of Battle Ground Lake -caveat,it's usually booked early on for all prime dates. Also a few miles of hiking, only draw back for most people is it's pretty close to a city. It's only 7 miles from me so I camp there, ride my horses all winter for conditioning there and hike it occasionally for fitness. It's a volcano, so the lake is in the caldera and the trails go up and down the outside of it.

Has nobody in the tiny home circle ever heard of trailer parks?
Because every time a post like this comes up, the description is basically "looking for place to put a small home on wheels, like an RV park but more long term, but I've never heard of such a thing".
I'm not sure if an average trailer park actually allows tiny homes (tiny homes are not necessarily held to the same build standards as even a park model manufactured home is) but a mobile home park has all the amenities that a tiny home would need (pad to park on, water, power, and sewer...and probably even has cable/internet hookups now).
Side note:
Anyone building a tiny home should make sure they use something like densglass for exterior sheathing, because tiny homes tend to be parked close to other combustibles (in driveways next to other homes, reducing the setback between properties-which is largely a fire safety consideration) and I haven't read or seen anyone really taking fire rated wall assemblies seriously in their builds.
Also, used single wide manufactured homes often sell for less than what I've read people put into their tiny home builds and offer not only a home that can be put legally into any community and most building sites (an r zoned parcel of land) but buying one is effectively recycling 100% of the materials used to construct the dwelling, since unsold homes are often landfilled.

[A local builder](http://thisisthelittlelife.com/2014/10/13/coming-simply-home/) moved into a community of tiny homes called, I believe, Simply Home. When she talked about it it sounded like several tiny homes sharing a lot with a traditional home. I don't have any real info about it though. You might try contacting her through [her website](http://www.nichedesignbuild.com/contact.html) to see if she can provide any information or maybe point you in the right direction.

Try combining the Mt Fremont lookout trail at the Sunrise Area with another trail - like the Burroughs. The whole Sunrise area is amazing. https://www.nps.gov/mora/planyourvisit/upload/sunrise-area-trails-aug11-2.pdf

Depends on which side of the mountain you are on. If Ashford/Longmire side, Mount Fremont and Comet Falls are super scenic! However these are my suggested hikes to my guests who aren't 'super' hikers. For a longer hike I'd suggest Indian Henry or Gobblers Knob to Lake George. Snow was heavy this year and is slow to melt out, so check conditions before you go.
