Recommendations for yellow jacket exterminators? This year we have *multiple* ground dwelling yellow jacket hives. I usually ignore them (pollinators, etc) but this year...

> pollinators They ain't pollinators. Or, that is to say, they do very little in terms of pollination.

I have a personal interest in the answers you get. I have fewer than you do, it sounds like, but they're inconveniently located and my reaction to the stings has been more severe\* than in the past. \*not "oh god oh god I'm going to die" severe, but usually it's just a little annoying pain for an hour or so and this year it's days of pain and swelling
i think all you need is this dust product near entrance of their hive and they are dead in 24 hours

They have been really bad here too, you can make bee traps with a 2 liter soda bottle https://macgyverisms.wonderhowto.com/how-to/make-homemade-bee-wasp-trap-kill-no-kill-0154926/

I'd bring them to Goodwill.

I just used Bloom Pest Control recently to get rid of some wasps and they were super professional and reasonably priced. Didn't feel like they were trying to upsell any services and were very knowledgable and easy to work with.

I love exterminating them. I’ll shoot you a PM.

I've spent a fair amount of money and time dealing with these aholes. I feel you. This year has been expecially bad. I have two hanging traps full of the dead and the curious. If it weren't so time consuming I'd surround my castle with their heads on pikes.

Buy the RAID yellow jacket and hornet spray. Mark their nest location in the late evening, when they are heading back to the nest. In the morning, right at dawn when its still cool and they arent active (or do it at midnight in the dark, like me) and spray the crap out of the entrance. That spray will kill everything inside, and any insect that tried to pass through what you've sprayed. It literally kills on contact. Whatever you do, don't approach during the daytime. You dont want to hit the nest when most of the workers are away, they become agitated when they realize their nest is gone and viciously attack anything that moves.

Forget the dish soap and water. Go to Home Depot and get a few cans of wasp spray. They're about $2.50 each. At night, blast everywhere near the nest. It'll foam up nice. Empty the can. Use a second can. Problem solved. I learned this after several attempts at other methods that failed. Good luck.
Hey fellow Burner-People!!! Does any of you's know of a good EXTERMINATOR that you can recommend? Pope and I have a cute little hornets nest that we need to extricate...
